During the fall, one of our neighbors had a massive palm tree taken down. The thing was easily over 40 feet high. This mexican dude drove nails into the trunk and then climbed the nails all the way up. He had a belt that wrapped around the tree to keep him from falling backwards and had a machete and a chainsaw hanging from ropes off his tool belt. No goggles, no breathing apparatus…this guy was just swaying in the breeze…I couldn't bear to watch it. He used the machete to get rid of the palm fronds (?) and then started cutting segments about 2 feet (or so) high and about the same diameter around and dropping them to the ground. After the first couple of segments when it dawn on me he didn't have climbing spikes on his boots, I bailed….not to mention the man who's property it was, has about 4-5 little dogs that know how to climb fences and i just had visions of them getting smushed when he dropped the segments. If you watch those old westerns or whatever and see someone cutting wood on a block out back made out of an old stump or something, that was roughly the same size of the segments.

Mexicans don't seem to be big on the kilts but seem to enjoy quilts so there you go no choritzo y juevos in the breeze, but thanks for playing. Although I must say, having watched spanish tv for some time now, I can't get over the amount of cross dressing that goes on in their comedy shows. They're so politically incorrect, I love it.
