This is a pic of my neighbors pine tree. Yesterday it was standing tall and proud.

The wind is still gusting today. I would be very scared if I lived in the blue or yellow

house. Dont be surprised if I update with a "tree down" pic /unsure.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

I might be lying, but I'm telling the truth

Thats what she said…. /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> sorry i could not resist that one…you set me up nicely there….

i bet we had 40+ mile an hour gusts last night…all night…it kept me up most of the night cause it just whistled and sounded like a freight train outside….i had to do a perimeter check this morning to make sure nothing from my property blew away….and that is one reason why i decided to not plant big trees on my new property (besdies having to clean up leaves every Fall)….

The problem w/all the precepitation (sp?) we've been getting is that the ground is so soft and the topography so erratic that it makes the conditions right in a high wind to bring trees down from the base. When I lived in the philly area, we'd get ice storms that would add a bunch of weight to the trees and if the trees aren't healthy or the branches get too heavy, SNAP. I used to love winter, when I was a kid, i've grown to be leery of it now…(sighs heavily). The last time I had to deal w/snow was a few winters back during a snow storm w/about 4 feet or so already on the ground going through the Sierra Nevadas on the way to Reno for a wedding. I wouldn't have cared so much but one wrong move and there's a couple thousand foot plunge. The conditions weren't bad enough for chains yet but it was a nightmare.

They had to call out a tree surgeon. But it has been saved and renamed Pisa.

Actually there was nothing wrong with the tree, it was the rest of the picture that needed to be fixed.

Yeah, I know a tree surgeon…..he usually sends me his dead wood….we end up having a sappy service until the people leaves….i'm thinking of branching out and opening up a new building….but my bark is usually bigger then my bite….

All it takes is just one seed planted into someone's head to get an idea going.
