36° and not a cloud in the sky…supposed to be in the 60s today!

Ugh! Wish it was in the 60s here!

Imagine there's no heaven, it's easy if you try.

John Lennon

That which is unchallenged and exercised as habit rapidly becomes ritual.

When this occurs, dissent becomes an object of surprise, if not resentment.

I was having issues with the Groundhog, last time we had a huge Valentine's storm and got dumped 20 inches of snow. lol

After what seems like many weeks of minus 30-45 windchills and lots of snow and ice I am very much enjoying the mid 50's here now! It's nice to see the next week ahead is all similar too. Unfortunately where I live it snows as late as June, so I doubt I've seen the last of the winter weather yet, but I'm enjoying the better weather st the moment.

I have a feeling that spring is on the way for us! It is in the 50's today and it's supposed to get up to the 70's on Thursday! Woo- hoo!!! I just wish that spring and fall lasted longer. I can't take the extreme temps anymore but I love it when it's anywhere between the 40's and the 70's.

39° and Sunny, but more rain on the way…they're actually calling for a chance of snow as low as sea level to 1000 feet…should be interesting, car accidents not withstanding.

Question:

Our court system utilizes commissioners instead of judges. Do you call a court commissioner "your honor" as you would a judge, or are you supposed to call them something else?

COURT COMMISSIONER

A court commissioner is a person appointed by a judge to assist her in finding facts, hearing testimony from witnesses and resolving issues. Court commissioners are frequently lawyers or retired judges. In many states, court commissioners commonly hear testimony concerning the validity of wills, preside over default divorces and other default hearings, decide alimony and child support modifications, and decide discovery motions.

I would just yes sir or ma'am them…doesn't Ms. Manners have a website?

Yeah – I'm going to have to do some research to find out, I guess.

Can't you call this person's office and find out the proper title of address from one of their assistants, or at city hall…perhaps a FAQ section on the town's website? If it's a retired judge, "your honor" would be appropriate I would imagine. Your Majesty might be a little over the top tho…

It's been crazy here for several days. Sunny and snowing at the same time, sideways snow, hail, lightning. Unstable as my college roommate.

Karen, you crack me up! I think there's a movie about you and your college roomate in theaters now /tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' /> Sunny and snowing is weird! We are supposed to have thunder snow today /blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='<_<' /> Oh and I finished The Ghosts of Wellington, I loved it! The fact that you are so respectful of that place and those people really touched me. Thanks so much for writing the book.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the book. We are in the midst of our winter time away from Wellington right now – always difficult. We get itchy to get up there. What's funny is that every year, we add a few more Wellington lovers who are as anxious as we are.
