NYC isn't anymore dangerous than LA, the media makes it out to be a horrible place that if you look at someone wrong they will shoot you. There are probably places in NYC that are not good, just like in LA. The police in NYC have cleaned up NYC especially when William Bratton was in charge, he did wonder to LAPD while he was here. I actually met Bratton one night, very nice man.

They made us many promises, more than I can remember, but they never kept but one; they promised to take our land, and they took it. - Red Cloud

When asked by an anthropolist what the Indians called America before the white man came, an Indian said simply,"Ours". - Vine Deloria Jr.

Guilliani was a great mayor and did wonders for the city as well, by cleaning up Times Square and taking care of some ugly union "issues" at the Javitz Center. When I was in college Times Square was a cesspool of crime and craziness but he cleaned it up really quickly and made it safe for tourists and respectable business to flourish there again.

I'm blessed to have such a wonderful and generous friend

who is footing the bill for the whole thing…except souvenirs.

I never would have been able to do this without her

Yes, that is great……

I do the same thing for my best friend every year…..she is less fortunate than I am, so I always treat her…..

We always go to Henry Ford Museum in July, then this year we are going to Colonial Williamsburg in Sept.

She will be coming with me in Aug. of next year for the Gathering in Gettysburg…..

so, it sounds like NYC isnt as bad as i've heard. I'd love to go there, always have wanted to, just was hearing such scary things about it. I've been to LA a few times, it wasnt bad at all, if NY is no different, I know I'd love it. Now to talk Mr. CB into it… /wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' />

Hopefully it's not Puerto Rico day there as they've had gang rapes and brawls in central park on those days that have gotten national attention. A year or two ago a French couple were attacked in the park by a bunch of revelers, it was a very ugly situation that I won't go into detail about…just take my word for it.
