These were recently taken after the first BIG snow. I'm not the photographer this time. Couldn't get out there. But, some intrepid person got through the 2 feet of snow currently sitting on the battlefield. We are expect two more feet tonight (Tuesday). That should be interesting.

Enjoy!

What a beautiful place (I say from my warm bed lol). Add into that the history of it, its defenetely on my list of places Im dying to visit

Remember, dogs and cats are better than kids because they:

(1) eat less,

(2) don’t ask for money all the time,

(3) are easier to train,

(4) normally come when called,

(5) never ask to drive the car,

(6) don’t smoke or drink,

(7) don’t want to wear your clothes,

(8) don’t have to buy the latest fashions,

(9) don’t need a gazillion dollars for college and

(10) if they get pregnant, you can sell their children ..

Very good! Yes. It is the top of Devil's Den, standing just across from the infamous Triangular Field.

I used to be quite the Civil War buff and have made the long trek out to Gettysburg from South Jersey years ago…didn't make it to the battlefield but have seen plenty of pictures of the "hot spots".

Looks like a thick white blanket GL, thanks for sharing them. I like to see sunlight on earth tones contrasted with blue sky.

I remember going to the battlefield as a kid, and all the hills.

(Those hills must be perfect for sledding.)

They are beautiful pics. We used to go to Gettysburg when I grew up in Hershey, and we hooked school.

I love it there. It's been years since I've been, but the pics make me want to go.

Funny how you live close to things, and don't keep up with visits.

I can think of so many places, I have not been to in years. Valley Forge, Liberty Bell, etc.

I just got to FT. Delaware a few years, ago. I'm so close, I'm attempting to explore my area more. /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Be careful with the new storm, it's really coming down.
