OfflineAhhh California weather. The valley was always so dang hot compared to places like orange county. I was raised in the burbs of LA, but luckily my family moved to orange county . The weather there is so mild and nice. When I went back for a visit last march, I stood outside of my Mom's condo in Newport beach just breathing in the sea air. It was so nice to be home. I hadn't been back home to my family in 10 years.
Even though it had changed so much, while I drove around, my Mom tried to give me directions, but I let her know that this was my hood. I know where I am going here. I have lived in 5 other states since getting married and leaving home(almost 20 years ago). To be honest, I don't think I could move back to CA. It would be for me like going back to kindergarten.
OfflineI love the weather up here in Northern California, it's mild almost all year round where I live (in the East Bay). We only get triple digits MAYBE 3x a year. Because of where we are in relation to the Berkeley Hills, the Pacific Ocean and the bays (San Francisco, San Pablo, San Rafael, Suisun, Grizzly et al) we get nice breezes almost all the time. We get the marine layer (fog) off the ocean and the sun sort of beats on it and makes it go away but by that time the heat of the day has passed. I've said it before but if you're a tourist watching the weather on the news can be a bit challenging because they give you sometime up to 3-4 different temperature ranges. I'm not sure that I could ever live back east again, I miss it sometimes, but not enough to even visit

I have always preferred Northern California. The beaches are prettier and the weather more mild.
