Ok, I was wondering if any one out there has an opinion on something. My bro and sis in law took their family out to eat at Hooters. The oldest child is a 12 year old girl, the younger brothers are 10 and 5. They had crayons and pictures of hooters girls to color at the table. Personally, I think this is not a good thing. What are your thoughts if any?

I suppose it is better than modeling clay and directions to make your own hooters out of it.

Um, that would be a big NO. There are plenty of other choices in the realm of middle priced restaurants. Again, NO. Personally, that isn't the message that I would want my daughter to hear.

Eh, I got nothin'

So far, we are in agreement…not the kind of place that young children should be at…

Heck, I can't even stand that place… /dry.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

I was afraid I was being a prude but my initial thought was how my 12 year old niece, who is a little on the heavy side, felt being in this atmosphere. I just felt sick to my stomach thinking about her in there. Then the boys impression about women as objects to be ogled. Oh, it's not a place I would have taken my children when they younger. I understand the hooters girls goal of making a living off the folks that patronize the place, maybe they are getting the last laugh as they head to the bank…but I just cringe about the whole woman as sex object thing. Well I'm sure my sis in law is mad at me for writing "dislike" on her facebook post about taking the kids there. Hope I didn't start a family feud!

I'd prefer to bring her to a monster truck rally rather than Hooters, if we are in the realm of prioritizing.

Never been to a monster truck rally so I can't comment but hooters must bill themselves as a family restaurant if they have crayons and hooters coloring pages. Not that I think for even a second that my bro and sis in law were not aware what hooters was. They knew going in and then they put it on fb, how much the 10 year old boy giggled and loved coloring the hooters. Ay carumba!

Prude..nothing…

Some things just aren't appropriate….and taking young children to Hooters is one of them.

I heard a radio ad a few weeks ago from Hooters, stating bring the family. Guess they do bill themselves as a family restaurant.

I've never been, and if my girls were younger don't think I would have taken them. I don't think it would really enter my mind.

Although after looking at the website, people at pools and beach do wear less.

There's kids B Bay party videos on youtube at Hooters, weird. What happened to Chucky Cheeses for kids B Days?

My own hooter management has always been a challenge for me, as they seem to have minds of their own, going off in different directions.

I don't have the urge to see other women with the same issues. /wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

My surgery will be on March 2nd. The MRI results were good so they can do the much easier laproscopic version of the operation. Looking forward to getting this over and done.

I had my surgery this morning and am already resting at home. They only made four little incisions to remove my defunct gall bladder which they closed up with superglue. My throat is a little scratchy from the tubes but have very little pain overall. Jello and hydrocodone are keeping me company so all is well /wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' />

Glad you made it through okay. It's amazing what they can do now with what used to be major surgeries.

Coming up next on Paranormal Underground Radio:

March 3: Dr. Barry Taff This Thursday we'll talk with Dr. Barry Taff, a world-renowned parapsychologist who worked out of UCLA’s former parapsychology laboratory from 1969 through 1978 as a research associate. During his 37-year career, Dr. Taff has investigated more than 4,000 cases of ghosts, hauntings, poltergeists and conducted extensive studies in telepathy and precognition, which led to the development of the initial protocols and methodologies for what was later termed “remote viewing.”

He was also himself investigated as a psychic subject in 1969. One of the cases Dr. Taff investigated in 1974 gained international fame as the book and motion picture, The Entity, starring Barbara Hershey, released by Fox in 1983. Dr. Taff served as technical advisor on The Entity, as well as being represented in the film by the character of “Gene Kraft.”

Was he part of the thing that produced the movie "men who stare at goats"? That was based on a government funded project dealing w/remote viewing.

That is a great question Monk. We are going to need to ask him tonight!
