OMG! That is the cutest video!

Colin is adorable. I want to pinch his cheeks. /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

that was at my old apartment, the one that burned down.

so he's probably 3 in that, maybe 4.

it sounds to me like he's saying "..holy fun" instead of "..oh what fun" /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

I hate the term precious when describing kids. My mom only used that word when she was trying to be polite and not tell the parents how ugly the kid really was.

Now adorable, cute, and other kind words are accepted.

This has got to be a Texan and/or Southern thing – my mother does the same the thing! Too funny!

Speaking of kids…Jim and I were remembering when his son (my step son) Kevin was three. He could read but wouldn't believe us when we told him he could because he'd been told that three year olds can't read. So one day, Jim and I had to stop at the liquor store. I sent Jim in to get whatever it was we were buying at the time, and I sat in the car outside of the front door with the kids. The following conversation ensued with the then three year old Kevin.

Kevin: This store's closed on Sundays, Karen.

Karen: How do you know?

Kevin: Because the sign says so right there.

Karen: You just read that sign?

Kevin: No. I can't read.

We had many such conversations. It was hilarious, but he would read things and then stubbornly insist he couldn't read.

He's a funny kid. Then there was the time that he responded to something I said. You could tell that he was about to say "Sweet mother of God" but when he got to the God part, he rethought it because he didn't want to swear. So instead he said, "Sweet mother of lodes." But it was said like "Sweet mother of…….(long pause) lodes!"

Kids crack me up.

On this my 5000 post I'd like to say that as we're rapidly approaching the anniversary of the new and improved PUG, we should hand out awards or something to celebrate (like they used to do at the Dose) and have a big bash over in the cantina etc.

I'd also like to take this moment to thank Whammies, MK and Sithy (also skeerdykat where ever she is and AlmostHunted) for inviting me to this incredible site when "the board that shall not be named" IP banned me giving me a new home to play. So thanks everyone for making this much needed stress release valve in stressful times available to all of us! You guys are the best!

I want to also thank Karen, Chad and Cheryl for such an amazing place to play.

Thank you Dawk for dragging me here kicking and screaming /wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

ps: does anything magical happen at 5000 like it does at 3000? /biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

Hmmmm, not yet, nothing magical happened at 3000 but then the delivery service in the cyber canopy ain't what it used to be!

As far as the anniversary, PUG was around for awhile before the remodelling, but I'm not sure the exact dates…April-ish perhaps for the new PUG? But we could just do an end of year thing? I dunno, but am open to suggestions. It's about all of us so we'd need to discuss it together in chat or something. I don't want to hack the "Dose" and not give credit. Perhaps we could award folks w/ornate siggies like they did? As I said that would be up to others to decide.

I'm painfully aware of my ability to get under people's skin, I had the talent since I was a mere sprout…what are these special mutant powers of which you speak?

5000 posts – Monkey – congratulations!

The anniversary of this site is April 24. Before that, we were on the old site….

Thanks for thanking us. As you know, guys, it is a total labor of love. We hope to keep growing and moving in new and exciting directions – and of course, we plan to keep bringing you the quality publication and podcasts.
