I woke up with the tire of a car, containing the girls we had been chasing, about 6 " from my face. I remember hearing one of the girls asking, "Is he dead?"

Hmmm, your old times sound a lot like my old times... I'm glad we're both still alive!

I also no longer drink like I used to, (which was *ahem* a really, really lot.) Alcoholism runs in my family BIG TIME, and I've had to work really hard to break the curse in my own self. Nowadays, I only drink on Friday and Saturday nights, and I have rules like: Two light beers and one shot OR one big good beer and one shot OR two glasses of wine and nothing else, etc. If I want to have it, I have to have strict boundaries along with it.

(I once fell into an open grave while wasted on Mad Dog, ha ha!)

Reminds me of a joke I read once. This irish guy was drinking at his local tavern and lost track of time. When he realized the late hour and the fight with his wife that was sure to follow he decided to hot foot it home as quickly as possible. There was a massive cemetary between the bar and his home. If he went through the cemetary it would take him 5 minutes to get home, if he went around, it would take 45 minutes. So, through the cemetary he went unfortunately there was a freshly dug grave and he promptly fell into it and passed out. The next morning he wakes up and has no idea how he got there. The sun is shining and the birds are tweeting. He clambers up the side of the grave looks around at where he is and exclaims...."Holy Sh*&! It's the Resurrection and I'm the first one awake!"

On a related note, I had a similar experience. I got so messed up and went in pursuit of some cigarettes and wound up falling into a newly dug sewer conduit. It was empty but they had the big pipes sitting there waiting to be lowered in. I was in the hole for about 2 hours sound asleep. There's more to the story but that's good enough for now. I was underrage and have not had an drinking and walking incident since.

Sometimes it's not really pretty though.

Like the time in Kentucky when I drank 3 Mike's Harder Lemonades and we were watching "Cheaters" while I was drunk and the guy being cheated on asked the cheating SO, "Where my baby at?" I feel sorry for Cheryl having to deal with it that night. I also no longer drink like I used to. I would have no problem drinking something for a special occasion, but try to avoid evil alcohol if I can.
