OfflineIt was a sizable earthquake about 2.5 to 3 hours south from us, but boy did we feel it! We were outside and the ground rolled and shook for a good 30 seconds. It seemed like the longest earthquake I'd ever felt.
The water in the pool was splashing out and the tables and plants were movin and a shakin.
I didn't feel any of the aftershocks.

OfflineYesterday evening I got a phone call from the Emergency Notification System for the
first time to let us know we were under a tornado warning. Before I could hear the entire
message the sirens were going off, but we are so far out that its unusual we even hear
the sirens so getting that phone call could have made all the difference for us.
Thankfully it didn't touch down and no one was hurt, but it scared us pretty bad. I love
Spring, but this part of it I could live without!

I guess I'm a little slow today. Why are you happy to be living on
a hill in NH? /unsure.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />
Offlineno earthquakes, no tornados…and being on the hill, no floods from the river
/biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />
Oh, I see. I thought you were saying something about it in relationship to a
tornado. I couldn't understand how being on a hill would be a benefit in that
situation. lol But yes, you are lucky that you don't have to deal with tornadoes
or earthquakes. Both are pretty scary but having dealt with both, for me
anyway, earthquakes were less scary.
OfflineWhat's with all the quakes lately???? PERHAPS the shift that is coming?

I agree that earthquakes are less scary than tornadoes, I could not live where there are tornadoes. I can handle the quakes as long as it is during the day time, we had one a few months ago that was at 4 am, not fun.
