It is a Frank's Box, but Chris Moon calls it his "telephone to the dead". Chris Moon charges for others to contact their departed loved ones via it. Then he will come back later and say he has received more messages from said loved ones from the telephone to the dead, but that it will cost to hear what they have to say. Pretty shady if you ask me and one of the reasons he will never be in the magazine as long as I am a part of it.

My understanding of the situation was that Frank Sumption, creator of Frank's Box, gave some away for others to test. He was very upset when Christopher Moon started charging for his services.

I can see why Frank would be upset! Mr. Moon will probably need to offer some sort of "bundle" if he expects to make a living off this! I agree with you on this one, shady indeed!

I only use Paint, nothing fancy. IMHO part of what makes my stuff funny is my crappy technique, but my biggest problem is inspiration, but I find it in the strangest places, sometimes here from members, sometimes just funny pictures.

Dang it all, I had some really good explanations for the box, but Sithy beat me to the punch! Here were some of the responses I was contemplating using; all satirical of course:

- It counts the money

- It's the remote control for the Kris Williams fembot

- It detects whether or not there's a gift shop in a possible investigation site

- it's the only thing standing between them and Joe Chin taking over the paranormal world

- It's a Lorraine Warren detector

- It's a paranormal sybian (I could incorporate this and the previous answer into a fantastic short story similar to the gatekeeper and the keymaster in ghostbusters)

- it's the fishing line rewinder

- It's the Moss beach distillery's control panel that J ninjed for the Spaulding Inn

- It's the universal translator so the ghosts can all understand Barry and english.

Those are the ones that sprang to mind.

Hahahahahahahahah! Hi, I'm Grant and this is my good friend Dr. Drew and we're here to help. Dr. Drew, can you give me something to take the edge off, I think I'm gonna kill Leif Garrett or Tiger's mistress!

I really do hope that GHI does not stink, though. I wish that there would be some kind of intervention (maybe Brian Harnois could lead it /blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' /> ) and Jay and Grant are confronted with the reality of what has happened since the second season. Show them how much they had and that they were on the path to success but took a short cut and thus must suffer the consequences of low ratings and ridicule. If they just take a long, hot shower and wash the sticky, yuckiness off and start anew I know there are many of us that would give them a second chance for a fresh start. It's a new year and it would be wonderful if they would wash away the tainted, producer- driven hogwash and get back to their roots of honest ghost hunting. Is it even possible?

Thanks Milo!

Ok, I am now thoroughly disturbed by this…shower scene…ewwwwwwww!

Dr. Drew, can you help me process this trauma, please?

I think I would rather envision Jay, Grant and maybe Steve "down in the river to pray" washing their sins away, like in O Brother Where Art Thou. Crap, that's the Coen Bros. /angry.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Nevermind Monk.
