She is still in the house. My other kittens are outside with their Moms, brothers, etc..I don't feel comfortable putting her outside because she isn't part of their pack, and they may kill her. She is the sweetest thing. I had this girl interested in her, but she was really flakey. She also had 3 other cats at home and lived in a trailer in the middle of no where. Her story also changed everytime I spoke with her. I just wish I would find good homes for all of them. I only have 2 cats inside..Lily, my daughter's cat and Sweetpea, my son's. And ofcourse lil Freesia (but I am hoping to find her a home) so technically she isn't "our" cat. But I have 11 cats/kittens outside. They don't stray far, and they watch out for each other. Even though I am a dog person, I love those lil pain in the arses. It's cute watching the male cats play with the kittens.

Lady, I am totally on board with you. I wouldn't let my guys go for anything unless a proven good home. I love them now.

One of them had 5 kittens 2 days ago…she let them die. I was outside in the rain this morning at 7:30 digging a grave for 4 of them after my daughter found them alone and stone cold before school. The fifth one (which we tried to save) died in my husband's hands just a few minutes ago. Poor lil guy struggled and faught to live, but we just can't replace his mama. /sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /> I think because there are so many cats, she just rejected them

Sorry to hear about this Lady. I would like to have another cat and a dog but I live in an apartment and don't think that an apartment is a good place for a dog especially cause I work. My cat is spoiled and I don't think he could handle having another cat around, he does think he owns the place and makes the rules.

There are breeds that do best in apartments. And since you have a cat, the dog wouldn't be alone. Stick to a schedule, and they won't know the difference. Don't get a Dachsund cuz they are known to have separation anxiety.

Thank you for your condolences… /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

My cat has separation anxiety, if he's asleep and I go in the other room when he wakes up he cries and comes running in the room. He is spoiled, I would feel bad having a dog and no yard for them to play in. I just play with my neighbors 2 pit bulls. I know I would not be able to have another cat cause my Cassius would beat up the new cat, he is spoiled.

I don't see my dogs running a lot in my yard. I see them laying and sleeping a lot in my yard. If you give a dog a few walks a day, that should be good for the dog and you. It may be a good thing for your cat to have a friend thru-out the day as well. People always think dogs need a lot more attention than what they really need. Ofcourse it depends on the breed too. /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Two cats-both females. An older one, about 12 years old blue-gray named Ripley that we nicknamed Prisssy Princess and my two-year old girl, Bast, a black Tabby with only one white spot, right at her belly. I nicknamed her Satan's Spawn. LOL She's a sweetie though, but very hyper and a brazen hussy. Ripley is more my hubby's cat, like an other woman, and Bast is mine more.

Ripley after the character in Aliens? My sister had a chocolate lab she named Ripley for her, not necessarily for the dog's ability (or inability) to fight nighmarish aliens…..as far as I know.

Someone mentioned a pet thread in the Pet Peeve thread…this one is just laying around. We can dust it off and use it if you want.

I am owned by the nicest dog to ever walk this planet. I was a cat person before he came to live with me (long story) but he has won my heart. He really believes that he is my body guard and always keeps himself between me and danger. If I'm on the porch, he lays on the sidewalk. If I'm in a room, he lays in the doorway. He really is an amazing dog. All he asks in return is the occasional dog biscuit and hotdog. He loves the cheapo ones from Wal-mart best of all, so he doesn't have a discerning palate. On the upside, at $1 for 10 hotdogs, I can buy him a lot of happy.

He has joint custody with three cats. One is a lovemuffin, one is adorable, a real-life Nermal, and one is a cranky ****. I love them all.

What a beautiful dog. He truly has a "soulful" face, doesn't he?

Now, of course I have to start trying to remember how to use Photobucket. /sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> There was a lot of time and alcohol involved in learning two years ago. Dang!

ETA: I am a CAT person! After my horrific experience with the dog a couple years ago, I will have to have a prime location and situation to have another.

This is our best buddy, Spencer. He is a retired greyhound race dog, who is now almost 10 years old. If you ever need a friend who will listen and never divulge your darkest secrets, Spen fits the bill. I have better pics and will share more later.

She is soo beautiful, I want to hug and kiss her! Very regal and stealth. We named our fawn dob that passed, Kiwi, because of her coloring just like Nilla's

Love Lady's and Milo's dogs. I'm a push over for big dogs.

They truly are our best friends. /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
