Thanks symp, yeah he does have personality and a lot of it. I could go on and on about him.

NW-yeah he does the same when my hubby leaves but he jumps on my back or chest. He also sleeps between my legs, by my ankles and then gets mad when I need to turn over.

I really would be on big old ball of stress without my cat.

If you can start the day without caffeine,

If you can get going without pep pills,

If you can always be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains,

If you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles,

If you can eat the same food every day and be grateful for it,

If you can understand when your loved ones are too busy to give you any time,

If you can take criticism and blame without resentment,

If you can resist treating a rich friend better than a poor friend,

If you can conquer tension without medical help,

If you can relax without liquor,

If you can sleep without the aid of drugs…

Then You Are Probably The Family Dog!

Awwww, sorry to hear that HeidiAnn. /sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='<_<' />

Thanks. it was very hard at the time.

my oldest had to be dragged out of the burning

house because he was trying to save Fenway.

after the fire, when we were able to back in

he was the one that found him dead in his bedroom /sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Lily was missing for 3 days and we thought we lost

her too, but then we miraculously found her. the

fireman had said nothing would survive the smoke,

but somehow she did.

This reminds me of something that happened during the devastating floods here in December of 07. I was working in the flood center and dealing with shell shocked, terribly sad people all day. One day a sweet sweet woman came in with a huge grin on her face. She'd lost everything in the floods. She was certain she'd lost her cat, too. But then, rescue workers found her cat several miles downstream. She was coming in for cat food. She was overjoyed that, in all of the loss, she had found her cat. Still makes me cry just even writing about it.

Lily is pretty, I had a calico – patches – her colors were vibrant but she was mean & didn't want to be bothered

Lily's not a calico. I had a calico, Jasmine, right before her. best cat EVER.

Lily is a Tortoise Shell. She's a b*tch /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> hated everyone for about a year,

then started liking me. After Fenway died and we rescued her from the house

after 3 days she did become nice, but she's still not a "loving cat", but she

hangs with me all day, she likes me haha

I had a tortoise shell cat named Mathilda who hated everyone but me. Everyone thought she was this evil cat – but she was wonderful as a pet for me.

I think tortise shells and calicos share the same personality. My calico was evil until she got sick, then she was sweet. My cat now is so loving and good natured but spoiled

I fed a starving cat about a year and a half ago. She was wild and skiddish. This has mulitplied to 11 cats(between her litters and her daughters) in that time frame. No one wants a kitten because there are so many available. The area in which I live really doesn't have a spay/neuter clinic with reasonable rates.

I had seen a dead black kitten on the side of the road lately. Last Friday, I thought I saw another one in the middle of the lane on our busy highway. As I was passing it while saying to my daughter, ahh another kitten got hit, I saw its head move. A normal person would have kept driving. I ended up turning the car around and stopping traffic, I thought for sure by the time I would get there , the lil thing would have been squished. My daughter ran out of the car and picked her up. She is the sweetiest little black and white kitten. She was limping really badly when we picked her up. But today it is a lot better. She has also become really playful and vocal. I might have found a home for her. YEAH!!!! But I have 7 other kittens that need homes. Oui Vey!!! My husband said we should be an animal rescue since I am always helping animals in need. I am not in favor of that. The way people treat their animals, they would be dropping them off by the thousands. /unsure.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' /> Besides I want to thin my herd. /dry.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

Lady, you did EXACTLY what I would have done…but I am not normal either! The Big Wolf and I found a Siamese (full blood by the look of it) in a nest of leaves in our yard several years ago. She was just beautiful and starved…we soon found out why. One of her front legs was broken. She may have caught it in a trap, we didn't know. We called every vet and rescue in 4 counties to try to get someone to help her. Surprisingly, the people who vow to help animals all suggested the kill shelter in our town, or just said they couldn't help. /sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

We fed her and got her a box, but it was apparent that she would not make it without help. We wound up taking her to the Knox County shelter. She purred and rubbed all over my husband all the way there. We had to pay them $20 to "surrender" her. Basically, they looked at us like she was our cat and we had abused her and then brought her to dump her off. /angry.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /> It killed me to leave that cat there just because I wasn't sure they even tried to help her.

My cat had six kittens, they are 4 months old, I have gotten homes for the two little girls but still have the boys. I REFUSE to put them outside to fend for themselves. I will keep them until someone is interested.

Not to mention, I love the little furry buggers!
