hmmm ok, well i didnt get the 50 shades book last summer, i got it after xmas on my kindle, and am now on the 3rd book. although i like reading it, its kinda cheesy and overly easy. something about it doesnt sit with me. i read it all the time. I mean the series, not just the 3rd book, but it is just a romance novel with kinkky sex in it. and its not even that well written i dont think. idk.yeah it has its moments, but all in all, meh.

Unfortunatly the furthest west I've been was an overnight stay in Chicago. Then it was back to NY. Long story. Amped up militant liberalism is realy big here in NY...its just handled a little differant...way to much to go into in this thread...But there are parts of NYC that wouldn't be bad to go check out but even after being retired for 10 years I still have that look and get asked more then I should if I am a cop. LOL. So I avoid certain places where I have to explain myself....so that I can enjoy myself. /cool.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' />

Almost finished with "Ready Player One," and I am LOVING every single page! If you're somewhere around my age (42) and you're a big geek (like me) who's always been into video games & computers and technology and you love 80s pop culture, then this book is definitely for you!

I'm posting a picture of the brand new cover, (just finished), because it's way cool, (the main character climbing around in "the stacks" where he lives):

	Great Amazon review:

"Ready Player One takes place in the not-so-distant future--the world has turned into a very bleak place, but luckily there is OASIS, a virtual reality world that is a vast online utopia. People can plug into OASIS to play, go to school, earn money, and even meet other people (or at least they can meet their avatars), and for protagonist Wade Watts it certainly beats passing the time in his grim, poverty-stricken real life. Along with millions of other world-wide citizens, Wade dreams of finding three keys left behind by James Halliday, the now-deceased creator of OASIS and the richest man to have ever lived. The keys are rumored to be hidden inside OASIS, and whoever finds them will inherit Halliday’s fortune. But Halliday has not made it easy. And there are real dangers in this virtual world. Stuffed to the gills with action, puzzles, nerdy romance, and 80s nostalgia, this high energy cyber-quest will make geeks everywhere feel like they were separated at birth from author Ernest Cline." --Chris Schluep

	And another great review here.

I love this so much, I am now anxiously awaiting any new work by this author, (who also wrote the movie "Fanboys.")

EDIT: My husband just posted a review on his blog, so I'm adding it, too: M. Griffin Ready Player One Review
