OfflineAw, that's really nice of you! You should try the FB links again, (they worked fine for me just now), because not everything in the library is Lovecraftian lore, not at all! However, if you're not a fan of horror/weird/dark fantasy in general, then yeah, you probably won't want the library, (unless you know someone whom you might want to win it for- it's good stuff and is worth a lot of money, and pretty much everything is signed by the authors- an really awesome gift for someone!)

Well here are my pictures…I didn't follow the instructions on the blog since I'm not a facebook member, i can't "friend" them. The guys in the service dept at Toyota seemed a little miffed that I wanted to take a picture of the box at all etc. The two local fire houses have gates keeping folks out and wouldn't open the doors for me to contribute there, so this was an all morning ordeal. I had a lady at Target take my picture, she laughed the whole time.

OfflineBoy, you sure went through a lot of trouble! Cool toys, too- something for a little one and something for an older child- WTG! /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
LadyLovecraft left an email link here, and you can just send her your pics if you want to be included in the drawing but you're not FB friends with them.
(BTW- I LOOOOVE your hat!) /biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

Yes, she did.
Hey Monk, sounds like we experienced a little of what you did. The other night we went looking for a drop off point at a place called Tom Moffit's Plumbing. We drove around looking for it for around 30 minutes, but never found it. I know we were in the right place, it's just that the building number they gave did not exist in that area. Felt like I was in the twilight zone.
I did find a location about 3 minutes away the next day. Very nice ladies there, but they did have a WTH look on their faces when I brought out the camera and started snapping pictures. Ha ha
PS: I'm liking the hat too. Plus I'm finally glad to be able to put a face to the name.

And you're on the Facebook wall now, which means you're IN, so WELCOME TO THE AWESOME CLUB! /cool.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /> <-(You)
We took our "holding the toy" pics at home, but our drop-off box was in the middle of a very busy grocery store, right at the end of the checkout aisles. SOOO many people were watching me while I took the pics, including a few employees who didn't seem very happy with me, but I was all like, "Don't be intimidated, Lena, just take the pics, taaaake the piiiics, OK, now RUN!" /biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

Offlinethe facebook links don't seem to be working…or perhaps my aversion for the site has rubbed off on the pc and it refuses to go there? I will attempt to make a contribution anyway and don't require to be part of the contest as I'm not a huge fan of lovecraft…though I do have quite a few of his collected works. Pictures possibly to follow. The drop off locales are literally right around the block from where I'm sitting.
Please try this link: http://www.facebook.com/ToysFo…..orrorStyle – if it doesn't work, feel free to send us an e-mail via tfthorror@googlemail.com!

Thank you for facing all these ordeals to donate the toys – and thank you for contacting us! Good luck for you as well /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
OfflineI got a coworker to contribute as well, not for the horror version, just Toys for Tots in general. He's a newlywed no children yet and was generally stunned that I'd participated. But I told him that I've been blessed my whole life with decent holidays (more or less) and thought as I'm in a position to donate, why shouldn't I? I couldn't imagine the holidays without a little something to look forward to. Also the Marines had made an appeal locally on the local news broadcasts for help as they are no where near their "target" as they've been deluged with an unprecedented number of requests this year.

OfflineYeah, I loved Christmas growing up, still do mostly, and hate the idea that there are children out there who have to do without. Hell, I still get choked up when I watch all the old shows and think what it all has meant to me.The magic of Christmas and Santa Claus is a big part of being a child, or at least it should be, and what the Marine Corp. and others do with this program each year is awesome.
OfflineWell, I give to Toys for Tots or the Angel Tree program for children every year because I grew up really poor and didn't always get a Christmas. It's so horrible to wake up on Christmas morning as a kid and think that Santa either forgot you or that you were "bad." I just want other kids not to have to go through that- every kid deserves to have Christmas.
"Win or lose, in the end it is all for the kiddies!"
Absolutely.
