Being someone that gets bored easily at stuffy British movies, this is not one in my humble opinion. Then again I also like history and though I know historical movies are not accurate it was passible. Its more about the problem of stuttering then being British.

Ladies…if you want your husbands to go tell them its a war movie….lol

Good idea!

Excellent movie, Firth and Rush were wonderful. I went by myself, my husband has no interest in most of the films I like.

Kings Speech and Inception were in the top 5 of the year for me.

Still not getting how The Social Network has so many nominations.

The Black Swan was just depressing, but knew this going in.

Kings Speech was the only one I saw. Most movies out we're, sorry ladies, for women….and those movies I would go see just weren't around long enough for me to get to. /huh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Still The Social Network is one I wonder to about so many nominations…a movie about an a-hole is not one I would think would make it…

I'm not always right but I'm never wrong.

The above are my opinions.

I think I will go alone if Mike doesn't want to go. I have no problem going to a movie by myself, actually enjoy it on occasion. Sounds like The Kings Speech has been getting nods all around.

I agree, The Social Network was ok, but not award winning material at all!

I was watching a show on the Ovation channel about this and my husband kept coming by and watching bits of it. I think it has him interested, (especially the backdrop of WWII). By George, I think I've done it, we will be going to see The King's Speech on Sunday. That would never have happened during football season! /tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Dang, the real deal could have used a day at the spa, imo! It does seem that the current royal fam is a bit better looking than in days of old. I ended up going to see The King's Speech by myself. It is a very good movie, I highly recommend it to everyone.
