Elvia, Mistress of the Dark

Elvira's Haunted Hills

I don't know what's scarier, the fact that I have an Elvira movie in my DVD collection,

or the fact that I actually have two Elvira movies in my DVD collection. /unsure.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I just got done watching Jennifer's Body with Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried. What a stinker! I like Amanda Seyfried, a la Mean Girls and Mamma Mia, but sheesh this movie was a crapper.

Thanks, I was thinking about it, but not now.

She was good in Mean Girls, which I liked.

I liked Mean Girls too, but I have been on the biggest Mamma Mia kick lately. I have my iPod loaded up with all the songs.

My daughter has the Mamma Mia songs, also. She's been really getting into it.

I was held down and drugged to watch Mamma Mia, I surprised myself and will closetly admit I liked it.

Have been singing the music. My hubby has been wtf is up with you? /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

Abba drove me crazy when they came out, I'm older. If computers were invented at Abba peak, I would of sent them hate email. /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

OMG, me too! hahaha

I've probably seen most of his movies … at the theater. /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' /> I guess that doesn't qualify as closetly liking him!

But, don't tell anyone!

Probably any movie by Tim Burton. The only one I enjoyed was Batman with Michael Keaton. Other then that I think he is one of the weirdest people around and I just don't get his art form.

I'm not always right but I'm never wrong.

The above are my opinions.

I like Tim Burton, but will concede that his stuff at times can be a bit over the top. People always give me the shocked look when I say that Martin Scorcese is the director I don't get. I appreciate his eye for scenes and stuff, but I'm not sure I've been able to sit through too many of his films all the way through (if any). I think the only thing of his I TRULY enjoyed was "the last waltz" the Band documentary of the farewell show. I would NEVER say that he's not gifted or talented, but just not my cup of tea. The Coen Brothers I don't get. I've liked a few of their things, but mostly not a fan.

****edit

Sorry I forgot to add some films I couldn't stand…Frantic w/Harrison Ford was like a video for really bad European music. In fact the music was so bad that it actually ruined the movie for me. It also happens to be a Roman Polanski movie, which I didn't know at the time or I wouldn't have bothered w/ I don't know what all the hype about this guy is as his movies stink on ice. The Ninth Gate (another Polanski offering), No Country for Old Men and There will be blood….annoying films. I suppose we could toss the 2nd, 3rd Matrix films in as well.

I thought The Informant starring Matt Damon was pretty bad. I did watch the whole thing but I felt uncomfortable the whole time.

I really was not impressed with SKYLINE. My son and I went to see it and we left just going, "what a waste of time…" But the movie just, well sucked.

We both went, "We should have seen RED." -- Which the next weekend we did.

GO SEE >> RED << great movie!

The latest Harry Potter movie. That's a few hours of my life I'll never get back.

OTOH: If you get a chance to see it, I highly recommend the documentary, Restrepo, about soliders in Afghanistan's Korengal Valley. It's on Netflix, and probably NatGeo.
