4. Twilight

Sounded so scripted. I mean, I know it WAS scripted, because it's a movie, but it isn't supposed to SOUND that way.

I'm not sure what the criteria is to participate here but hands down the WORST film I've ever seen was Ishtar w/Dustin Hoffman & Warren Beatty. Just how much coke was being done in Hollywood then that THAT would be considered a decent film concept?

What is wrong with Drag Me to Hell? Its sitting on my TV ready to be watched, is it worth the time? If not, I'll just send it back to Netflix now…

I just couldn't stand the format. It was portrayed as a documentary that you would see on the Discovery Channel or History Channel. It's more about the plight of the poor in Johannesburg with aliens stepping in for the poor.

Worst movie I've seen? Bee Movie. I want my lost life back.

I write books. I take pictures.

Hi Gene. I think it was badly written, predictable, and not scarey. Most of these films don't scare me anyway.

Also, I coudn't laugh at it. I at least thought The Orphan was bad/funny, but my sense of humor may be a little odd.

I watched Antichrist, with William Defoe, it's an IFC film.

This was one of the better horror films I've watched in a long time. May be slow for some.

The acting was very good, the film was great to look at visually, and a different story line for a change.

Caution, high sexual content which may offend some, but it's part of the story line, and not just thrown in.

I found Drag Me To Hell hilarious at points, which is bad because I got the feeling Sam Raimi was trying to be serious with this movie. I just don't think he is able to do serious horror any more. He always adds his own campiness to the mix. Maybe I missed it entirely and he was trying to make it like his more well known horror fare.

Even though the movie opened to critical acclaim, I just found the storyline too unbelievable, but that is only my opinion. I found myself laughing at most of it, and so to me it was not a very good horror movie, as horror equates to scary. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge Sam Raimi fan, I am just not a fan of this movie. Maybe I was disappointed because I was expecting serious horror.

Don't let me discourage you from watching it, as that was not my intent with this thread. I was only displaying my displeasure with the movie, and the way it was shot. You might actually like it seeing as how opinions vary, as well as taste.

We watched Knowing last night and I have to say that I was not terribly impressed with it. After it ended I looked over at my wife and told her not to buy this one on DVD, no matter the price.

Well, I at least now know what to expect…I love horror movies, at this point I almost HAVE to watch this movie as its been sitting on my TV for over 3 weeks now, and tying up other movies that I could have received thru Netflix…maybe I'll try to watch it tonight….
