OfflineI nearly had a heart attack when it came on. I'm seriously think of making it my ringtone.
Careful Pynki, wouldn't want to lose you…especially not before the final installment comes out! That would be TOO funny as a ringtone, but might wind up being a "1%-er". Suprised you don't have a "Potter" themed ringtone already or a Won Won clip.

Don't have a Potter themed ringtone? Pfft My ringtone is the Happy Potter theme, when I get a text it's Ron saying "I'll be a knight."
and this is my cell phone wallpaper.
And just so you never doubt me again. I give you a picture of my computer. /biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

I was reading the link, but think I may have found an error, perhaps Pynki can verify this one way or the other. I thought Bellatrix Lestrange's husband died either in Azkaban or after Voldemort fell the first time. I was always under the impression she was a widow.

OfflineDid you ever go on muggelnet and read the death clues? They're crazy!!
In St. Mungo’s, when they are going to visit Mr. Weasley- 'They climbed a flight of stairs and entered the "Creature-Induced Injuries" corridor, where the second door on the right bore the words 'DANGEROUS' DAI LLEWELLYN WARD: SERIOUS BITES.' If you put these words on a sign, they would read:
Creature-Induced Injuries
Dangerous
Dai Llewellyn Ward
Serious Bites
Take the first word of each of these and what do you get get? Creature Dangerous Dai Serious? No – Kreacher dangerous, Die Sirius…
On Harry's first night at Grimmauld Place, the entire house sits down to dinner. In total, thirteen of them eat together. According to Trelawney in POA, when thirteen people dine together, the first one to rise is the first to die. No prizes for guessing who rises first here: "Sirius started to rise from his chair." NOTE: This is arguable as Ginny is not sitting at the table at the time, but she may be counted as "being" in the room and eating with the others, thus it can still count as foreshadowing.
The 13 thing also applies to Lupin.
As Professor Trelawney tells us in Book 3, whenever 13 people gather, the first to leave the group will be the first to die. In chapter 5, 13 of the survivors of Voldemort's attack (Harry, Ron, Hermione, Mr. and Mrs. Weasley, Fred, George, Bill, Fleur, Ginny, Hagrid, Tonks, and Lupin) all drink firewhiskey together. Lupin is both the first to finish his glass (he had "drained his glass in one") and the first to leave the gathering (to look for Mad-Eye's body).
James Potter (Prongs) was the first of the Marauders to die, followed by Sirius (Padfoot) in Order of the Phoenix. Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs appear to be dying in reverse order, which is confirmed by the end of the book.

It makes sense if you think about what JKR said about Bella being in love with Voldemort and only marrying her husband because he was a pure blood from a respectable family. Her being in love with Voldy cause her to be crueler and crazier because she constinly craved his attention and approved. Voldemort's the type of bloke who would surround himself with the people who are of most use to him, Bella wants to stroke his snake so she'd do anything he asked so he kept her close by while Rodolphus, just your run of the mill death eater, gets little to no attention. It gives the whole story a bit of balance, JK goes out of her way to show us how love can save someone but she also gives us the flip side and show us how love can corrupt. You have Snape who saved and protected for the love of his life then you have Bellatrix who tortured and killed for the love of hers.
At least that's how I see it anyway.

Offline**** girl is right! Talk about toxic relationships!!!! How does one know so much about the inner dynamics of these characters? What is this mugglenet.com site? Do they give you all the clues and inside track to characters and their motivations? Is it sanctioned by the author or is it a fan based gossip mill type of thing? I have just started reading the actual books and since I am still on the first one it is all very elementary (my dear Watson). One thing that I do like about reading the books is how simple everything is portrayed and seeing the spelling of all the people's names, places and things. When watching the movies, it is sometimes difficult to understand because of the accent thingy (don't get me wrong, I love, love, love British accents but have trouble sometimes understanding what is said) AND there is so much happening on the screen actionwise that I worry I missed something or at least misconstrued something. My goal is to be through all seven books by the time the final movie hits the big screen! Pynki, how do you know all this? You must be a true Hufflepuff through and through!

One of my many issues I with the movies is that they are very action driven and don't really get to in to the emotional aspect of the story. The grave yard scene in the goblet of fire movie was an epic fail. There were parts in the previous books where i teared up , but it was the graveyard scene in the GoF book that made me really cry for the first time and they completely cut the scene that made me cry even harder with Harry and Mrs Weasley later on.
Mugglenest is a fan run site where people would go to just I guess talk Harry Potter give their theory's and such of the next book theres fanfiction there and fan art transcrips of interviews with JKR just a whole lot of potter.
How do i know so much? IDK really it's… There's just something about Harry Potter that has taken a hold of me. It could have something to do with me being a teenager when the whole thing started and now I'm nearly 30. Actually I think it's has to do with the fact that I feel like I've grown up with Harry Ron and Hermione, and I'v watched them grow up and find themselves on the pages of the books. I've cried with them shared their triumphs and felt their losses alongside them. I cheered them on and wanted to slap them for their stupidity. Some where along the way they stopped being characters in a book and became like friends to me. And like my real friends I find myself wanting to know everything about them and the world they come from. When JKR created their world she had so much detail and back story that she freely gave after the last book and made her characters so layered that she made it easy for me to forget that these are not real people. I could sit for hours and read/watch interviews of hers. I have sat and done that exact thing. JKR is just an amazing woman.
Or it could just be that I've read the books more times than any one person should. ::shrug::
And her characters are so relatable. There's this little argument Ron has with his mother in DH that is pretty much word for word an argument I've had with my own mother a million times when i was his age.

Oh Pynki I love that you have this connection with the characters. It is so sweet that you were able to grow up alongside this fantastic world created by JKR. You are a very lucky lady, in my opinion, and truth be told I am a bit envious that I never connected with something like you have here. Thank you for all of your ideas and thoughts that you share on this forum. It has given me a new appreciation for the written world and the power of reading. We all get lazy now and then when it comes to choosing to commit to a book or take the shortcut of watching the movie. I'm glad I have committed to reading because it is so much richer afterall. When my girls were little, they both loved HP and read all their books, unfortunately I was not into it at all. They always told me that I should read the books someday and here I am finally embarking on the journey, thanks to them and to all of you on here that encouraged that! Pip, pip!!!
OfflineI'd have to agree w/Pynki, the books are SO well written on so many fronts and the movies don't always tap into the emotions the author initially evoked/intended. The only thing in the movies that has gotten me bad was in DH the Dobby situation. The book got me worse though. I think in this day and age because of the way the world is structured, that SO MANY people feel so powerless, alienated and overwhelmed by what's out there that the books can be inspiring because the characters are SO easy to identify with on a personal level. The courage they show to not just sit by idly but to stand up and be counted is very cool. To me it re-emphasizes the overall message of be wary and be brave, if you just sit by and let the b.s. and bureacracy wash over you and DON'T take a stand, then you get what you deserve.
