So, Corey started reading the Harry Potter series this year in school, and he's through book 4.

After all this time, I've decided to read the series due to Corey's constant talk of the differences between the books and the movies.

I'm on Chapter 6 of Book 1. /tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

You won't be sorry. it's an excellent series of books.

Imagine there's no heaven, it's easy if you try.

That which is unchallenged and exercised as habit rapidly becomes ritual.

When this occurs, dissent becomes an object of surprise, if not resentment.

Speaking of oddities in Potterverse…was there ever any mention of what the deal was w/Mrs. Norris (Filch's Cat)? Because she didn't seem to act like a "normal" cat. Also do squibs have longer live spans like wizards? Filch seemed to be quite old. Did the curse against Dark Arts teachers end at Hogwarts when Voldemort died?

MONKY MAN!!

Yes we learned the Voldy did in fact curse the position so when he died so did the curse JK confirmed this.

ALSO remember a long time ago you had asked what the Potters did for a living because it was never said? and i said they were just that rich? Well i was wrong i remember before the order of the phoenix came out someone had asked that exact question and Miss Rowling said the answer was in the fifth book and people complained that that it wasn't. Well in rereading the book it struck me… the answer was there but not in the way we had thought. They never speak of what the Potters did for a living, this is also the book we learn that there are people who work in the ministry called unspeakables.

MK tell me your still reading.

2012? Seriously? I survived Y2K, 9/11, 6/6/6, 9/9/9, H1N1, & Swine Flu. BRING IT ON!!!

Two different quizzes say that I belong in Hufflepuff.

My favorite character is Molly Weasley. She is a mama grizzly when she or her loved ones are threatened and I really admire that. She is also such a loving person, taking Harry into her family and making him welcome the way she did. Nice lady.

My most shameful secret is that I find Lucius Malfoy incredibly sexy – just in the movies, I hasten to add. I know he's a horrible, evil scum bucket death eater that I wouldn't get near in real life but dang it, he is so darn HOT. I know, I know: I am a sick woman. But my best friend thinks Snape is hot so obviously there is no accounting for taste. :-)

Don't know so much about Alan Rickman as Snape, But I'm with HeidiAnn on this one. Alan Rickman is a hottie. I have always thought so since DieHard.
