OfflineHey everyone be careful about purchasing the latest dvd release of harry potter…deathly hallows pt 1.
Normally I would just buy the deluxed dvd version because I love all the behind the scenes stuff, but they didn't really feature one at best buy that I saw. The sales girl that rung me up told me that she'd work the previous night as they stayed open a little past midnight to begin selling the release and she's says they've had to replenish all the stock stations for it at least three times and at the rate they're selling she doubts they'll have any left Saturday. That's great of course, BUT here's the rub. There's a chance if you don't have a blu ray player you won't get to see the much ballyhoo'd opening scene of part 2. The DVD only version I saw at BB didn't have the bonus scene and there are no "stingers"/"easter eggs" on the disc. So unless you know someone who has a BR player or possibly a gaming system, you are, as they used to say in colonial times S.O.L.
I'm hoping that it'll play in my regular DVD player at home, but it didn't work in my pc dvd drive at work. I don't care about the picture clarity etc…I just want to see the danged thing. So be mindful of that and don't waste the extra $10 needlessly…like I just did.

That stinks for those of us without a Blu Ray player /dry.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' /> I think I'll wait until they have the entire 7 set with bonuses, hopefully they will have something around Christmastime. Maybe I should just ask Santa for a Blu Ray player

Perhaps this should have made my pet peeves list, the constant reformatting of media…vhs/beta>vhs>dvd>hd/bluray>bluray…enough already..as if it wasn't bad enough w/music. What's that line of Tommy Lee Jones from Men in Black I….he shows Will Smith the teeny little cd and says looks like i'll have to buy the white album again….that's certainly what it feels like. There so little decent new stuff happening that you have to keep repacking all the older material on different formats… /angry.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

OfflineI watched Part one the other night, my spousal unit fell asleep 30 minutes into the movie. I watched the deleted scenes afterwards. Of the 5 or six listed only two should have been in the movie to explain things I believe. One of those I had thought I saw when the movie was in theatres. Oh well.
OfflineI had a thought and it is very naive but here it is. Is it possible that Harry and voldemorte become one and merge their goodness and badness into one being? I haven't read HPDH Part II yet so don't give me any answers, I'm just thinking (typing) out loud.

2012? Seriously? I survived Y2K, 9/11, 6/6/6, 9/9/9, H1N1, & Swine Flu. BRING IT ON!!!

Actually it ends in the parking lot behind Hogwarts w/Harry broom-jacking Voldemort and …..
