So I just got back from seeing the Avengers in 3d. I don't know that seeing it in 3D is such a treat per se…the film was strong enough on it's own….THIS FILM ROCKED! It would probably be helpful to see the films leading up to this (Both Iron Mans, The Incredible Hulk NOT THE ONE WITH ERIC BANA, THE ONE WITH EDWARD NORTON, Thor and Captain America) and get your geek on! This isn't just a mindless Michael Bey explosion fest with epic fights….there ARE epic fights don't get me wrong, but this cleverly written piece is EASILY one of the best super hero films I've seen. It's right up there w/the Dark Knight.

I don't even know where to begin with out spoiling anything. Mark Ruffalo is awesome as Bruce Banner and the Hulk steals just about ever scene he's in. There are so many great one liners, I might actually go and see this again because with the mob in the theater going absolutely crazy at every turn, the dialogue was kinda tough to make out at times. The 3-D on this film was really just average so save yourself a couple of bucks and go see it regular ….view (?). To be honest I would've preferred them to spend a little more attention to the audio, not that the sound mix wasn't good (I staked out a primo seat early dead center of the theater to enjoy the sound), but as I said you missed dialogue here and there and it wasn't always because of a boisterous audience.

If you stay through the initial round of credits, you will see an "Easter Eggs" for what i'm guessing is laying the framework for the next Avengers film…who knows. I couldn't make out who the villian was, but the rumor is it's Thanos. Apparently there's a second easter egg that I couldn't stay for (nature calling after 2.5 hour movie) but have heard it's kinda funny.

Anyone out there see it? Love to compare notes privately or here on the board under the spoiler code.

I would give this a solid 9 out of 10 nanners of the Monkey scale….why not 10? It ain't Bo Derek…perhaps in time when I see it again it'll get the extra nanner but it's 9 for now.

I am planning on seeing this one asap….probably this cominh Saturday. And I did see the movies in order prior to this one. Loved the fact that each movie lead into the next.

I'm not always right but I'm never wrong.

The above are my opinions.

Went to see The Avengers today…Outstanding is the only word I can say. Now I saw it in regular (non-3D) format. I don't care to much for 3D maybe if I get to it again for a second time I'll try it in 3D.

I waited and saw the set up for the next movie but I want to ask this…Who stayed until the VERY end? I mean until the last of the credits rolled by?

Because I did and there was a very funny scene at the end. if need be I will add another post in spoiler format….lol

Spoiler below is about the scene at the very very very end of the movie after all the credits have rolled…and I mean all of hte credits….

Our hero's are in a deli type NYC restuarant that looks to have been damaged. In the backround is a glass counter with a guy cleaning and in front it appears to a woman sweeping. In the foreground our hero's are sitting at a round table picking at their plates of food in silence and looking tired as hell. Not a word is spoken and they all look hagard as hell. Really funny scene.

I'm not always right but I'm never wrong.

so what did you think? did the hulk NOT steal the show? I couldn't stay to the very end because I had to pee something wicked. I think that was the food Tony Stark was talking about.

It was pretty good. I didn't think it lived up to all the hype but I still enjoyed the heck out of it.

Best part I enjoyed was the Flying Monkeys remark.

This movie actually exceeded my expectations! It was freaking awesome. I was really impressed all the way around. We are going to see it again, this time in 2D.

The flying monkey comment was funny, "Hey I got that!" The Hulk had some good parts but was kind of wondering, It seemed that Banner was/is able to turn him on at will. Is that something from the comics? My whole knowledge of Hulk is from TV with some passing knowledge elsewhere and wasn't sure if that is something for the movie. The fight between him and Thor was great and that scene when they are standing next to weach other is funny.

I'm not always right but I'm never wrong.

The impression I got from THIS movie is that Banner moved to India to get away from the kind of things that would normally set him off AND to get a better grip on his other self through meditation. However, he can still be triggered unvoluntarily if Banner is injured or he is placed in a situation of extreme danger. It would also seem that he can turn himself by getting really mad. It's been awhile since I actually read comic books, but like you, my Hulk knowledge was sort of restricted to the old TV show too.
