That sounds an awful lot like Stewie's reaction when Cleveland and Cleveland Jr. head off to Stoolbend, VA…."HE'S getting his OWN show????" I always liked Cleveland's character but he's just not strong enough to carry the whole show….I only made it through about 1 season of that, I think it might be in it's second season if its even still on the air at all.

It was like when Fish got his own show as a spin off of Barney Miller. He was good as the old Detective who would say something funny but not when he had to roll his eyes for a half hour.

I'm not always right but I'm never wrong.

Wasn't his wife Bernice in that? The Fish show didn't last long, mercifully. Two favorite Barney Miller moments was Steve Landesberg (sp?) asking where they got the atom bomb while they're sitting around trying to figure out how dangerous the stuff they just confiscated from a crime scene truly was. The other of course is when someone from the Health Dept asked Jack Soo if he'd had jaundice long…great show

Or when (i forgot who) Told Barney that Jack Soo "…was shot in the cheek." And Barny raises his hand to his face….and the Det goes…"No, not that cheek."

Well, after being between seasons and the not so funny episodes last season, Family Guy is sort of off and stumbling along this year. I think it's the 3rd or 4th show of this season and only one clunker so far, not bad. It looks like they're doing alot more CGI animation. The intro w/the Vegas show girls/gals has been switched to feature the cast etc. So far so good.

On a seperate note, I've also just purchased and watched the third Family Guy installment of the homage to the original star wars trilogy, Blue Harvest, Something something something darkside and now we have "IT'S A TRAP". I want to preface this by saying that I was really REALLY tired when watching this so i'll have to rewatch it, but it was sort of meh. The intro star wars crawl was chock full of slams against Fox for making them do a third one.

One of my favorite epis is when Stewie and Brian are locked in the bank overnight. Very funny.
