You forgot the 3D part which made it that much more awesome.

Other than that I'm speechless as how to describe this movie.

You basically have to see it for yourself.

Is it paranormal in nature? Are you sure you want this thread here in this section?

I would love to see it in 3d, hopefully they will have that option when it hits Blu-ray…

I loved it! I went before Christmas and News Years week. I'm going a third time to IMAX, I did 3D both times.

Avatar is not a movie, it's an event.

Cameron has finally captured true photo real CG. He invented special cameras for this film and it shows.

Nothing like it!

I really think it needs to be viewed on the big screen. The story has been done before, but the movie is so visually stunning I didn't care.

Just go for the ride!

I went to see it in IMAX last night, wow it just gets better each time.

I see things that I have not noticed before.

Avatar, has went over a billion in mark in movie gross.

It's listed as number two on the movie grossing list, and has been out about one month. Amazing!

Cameron will probably surpass his own movie, The Titanic which is still at number one. He is his own competition. /tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

Only a handful of movies have went over a billion, and I thought I'd share share the useless info I just looked at. /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

Oh, it was awesome in Imax wasn't it! I loved it the first time, but in Imax, WOW!

I bet Avatar will beat out Titanic. It's so much better!

We went to see it last night in 3D. It was pretty good. The only other thing that was good about last night was that the Cowboys won their playoff game. Now it's on to Minnesota.

I saw that the other day, people are also saying the movie is racist.

I think in both topics, they have way too much time on their hands. /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

I heard about this on the radio this morning driving my son to school.

They should just get the video game!

I saw it. I thought it was visually cool – but the plot was just meh.

I did find this observation astute, however: http://failblog.org/2010/01/10…..plot-fail/

Jim says that the republicans aren't really happy with the plot either – that they are saying it is anti-american.

Finally wore Monkette down & saw Avatar today…3d…i wanted to do IMAX, but it's a hassle as the IMAX theaters are a bit out of the way…i did pilfer the 3d glasses (teehee). It was just visually stunning bordering on breathtaking! I don't know if I could handle sitting through it again. Did anyone else notice that the "Hallelujah Mountains" looked like those old Yes album covers? Actually, I remember thinking to myself that there seemed to be a couple of homages to classic rock in the visuals of the movie, beyond the Yes stuff.

Yup, it's the most visually stunning movie I've watched.

I took my glasses, also. Shhh, they were not the cheap kind. lol
