Guys, if you want a geophone, jump on this. The kits are all gone, and the sensor used in the kits are 110.00 to replace, so it isn't as if you are going to find one cheaper somewhere else. These would be the last of the last. Just sayin'...

Wish I could find a reliable source for the geophone sensor itself. I could build these all day long if I had that sensor. Accelerometers do not do as well, just look at comparisons with the Mel Vibe meter. Oh well, it was cool while it lasted, and glad I got one. If anyone is thinking about getting one, I would do it before the supply line completely dries up. It is a certainty.

To my knowledge I am the only one offering these to the public. The cost to make them has gone up significantly which has caused me to raise my price. But, I will continue to offer these as long as it remains practical and possible to do so.

The metal case makes a huge difference with the attenuated signals on concrete or non-padded carpeted concrete.

just curious, what sensor are you using for your geophone? SM-7m? Can you point me to a reliable source for these? US distributors of SENSOR inc's products won't even return an email or answer the phone, so I am currently trying to source just the sensors.

EDIT: I just read where you said the supplier is discontinuing selling the kits, and that explains a lot. This circuit is obscenely simple to build, all I need is the geophone sensor itself. If anyone can find a source for these, I would appreciate a nudge. As said above, only stateside distributor for the sensor modules are either unable or unwilling to respond to my pricing queries.

You may have seen a new device used on recent episodes of GH/GHI called a geophone. A geophone is a device that measures seismic vibrations down to 4-5 htz. As the geophone detects vibration it provides a signal to the electronics that amplify and document it in some form. There are many uses for this device. It's primary function would be to place it in an area where people have reported hearing footsteps and monitor the area with video surveillance. Now you can "see" footsteps rather than just report a personal experience. All matter constantly vibrates and is expressed as a frequency (i.e.- htz) which translates into sound. Although the human ear cannot hear frequencies in the lower spectrum, the geophone can. The sensitivity can be adjusted based upon your preference or need - passive or ultra sensitive. They are not new to the world but they are new in paranormal research.

Another use would be to ask a spirit to touch somewhere in the area of the device or on the geophone itself. You may have seen a video or had a personal experience of communicating with an intelligent spirit by asking 'yes' or 'no' questions and receiving a response on a K2 meter. When this occurs, the spirit activates the K2 lights by manipulating the magnetic fields, however, some people believe very few spirits are capable of manipulating EMF. Touch communication is simply another tool we can use to investigate and further paranormal research.
