We all die at some time so that can be said about any chair, couch, sofa, recliner, Laz-e-boy, computer chair, stool or anything else you can put your rear end on. TVs don't help much either.

does that go for the toilet that Elvis was on ? now if anything is haunted that must be.—May not want to do EVP work there.! ty, ty very much.

Yeah that's a possibility. I agree I wouldn't want to conduct the investigation of that bathroom.

That reminds me of a Texas death row inmate they used to call "Ballpark Frank".

He really plumped when they cooked him… /tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

Note the footprints around Ole Sparky! I wonder if the

J&G of GH were there and threw out some flour?

Y'know – if you think about it, everybody who sits in every chair eventually dies. Maybe it's sitting that kills us and all of the chairs are cursed. /unsure.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

The only cursing chairs do is making your butt huge from sitting on them so much. /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

Imagine there's no heaven, it's easy if you try.

I wouldn't sit in that chair, but I'd wear the Hope Diamond every dang day if given the chance. Of course I'd have it smudged, then blessed first. Just to be safe…

BTW, there's a haunted chair in a house called Baleroy Mansion in Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia. Apparently the gentleman who owned the house had to keep it roped off because everyone who sits in it dies very shortly after. I wouldn't sit in that chair, either. It has already claimed at least four victims. Why tempt fate?

You know, I am really a lot more superstitious than I think I am. :-)

Here's the link to the Baleroy Mansion story. I was sorry to see that the gentleman who owned the house died. I wonder who owns the house now? It would be an amazing place to investigate!

Well, really it's no different than any other chair. 100% of people who sit in 100% of chairs have or will die. Life is terminal.

Agreed. But who wants to volunteer to go sooner than necessary? Would you sit in the chair?

While that chair may or my not really be cured, I believe there are things out there that are. So I'm steering clear just to be safe. If it is cursed, Id believe that its only cursed for some. Curses have to be pretty specific, and therefor you cannot curse the entire population for all time. So if it is cursed, those that died must have something in common. And Im not risking having it too.

As to the electric "death" chair….that thing creeps me out every time I see it in pictures or on TV. I cant explain it but *shivers* ugh.

As to the balory house. Thats creepy. And not only would I not sit in that chair, Im not going in that room lol. At least not alone and overnight.

Remember, dogs and cats are better than kids because they:

(1) eat less,

(2) don’t ask for money all the time,

(3) are easier to train,

(4) normally come when called,

(5) never ask to drive the car,

(6) don’t smoke or drink,

(7) don’t want to wear your clothes,

(8) don’t have to buy the latest fashions,

(9) don’t need a gazillion dollars for college and

(10) if they get pregnant, you can sell their children ..

This reminds me of the "7 Years of Bad Luck" if you break a mirror.

Wow … you know how many years of bad luck I should have had, with all the mirrors I've broke??? Wow I think I should be 'dead' … /blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Curses are subjective … it's like the gal in another forum who was told by a Tarrot Reader: Something "bad" will happen to you within the next three months." Well guess what? Yup, you guessed it – something bad happened every month! But the last day of the 3rd month – she was convienced that all the other 'bad' built up to this. She had a fender bender.

She all but psyched herself out over this reading.

Doesn't matter if it's cars, chairs, rings, mirrors, salt, pepper, a penny … it's all mind over matter. If you pay it no mind, it won't matter. If you give it thought … well …. 100% of these curses are self-filled prophecies / curses.

Why would anyone want to willingly believe in a "curse"?? Never made any sense to me …

I think it goes back to what I said before. We all die. Bad things happen to all of us. If one of those things happens in close proximity to something like sitting in a "cursed" chair, being cursed, or being told by a psychic that something bad was coming, then confirmation bias kicks in. Same goes of good things – but you almost never hear about the fact that every time everyone tries on a certain pair of shoes they find a quarter or something. It's not spooky or notable like dying after sitting in a chair.
