Nothing Ryan…not even a wiggle from recent siesmic activity.

It only took a month to get it done….I don't know if I should be proud

or sad about my lack of free time!

Well, Jon your free time will be really free in a little over a month now! That Fall Gathering is only about six weeks away now!

As for the pin, you know these things don't always perform to our timelines…You never know what kind of havoc it will wreak while you are here in Tennessee!

Well nothing one would want to write about for sure. But when I read this thread, I remembered this stuffed chicken. I had this stuffed chicken (doll for decoration) that I had for years. I traveled alot. My family would come and visit me in various places (I was in the military so I moved alot and lived alone). They always liked it and never had any issues, thought it was cute. When I was in South Carolina in a house which I was renting (this house I rented had alot of weird stuff going on which I should share in personal experience sectopm with you in another thread, too detailed for here) my family came to see me there for a visit and for some reason they just could not stand the stuffed chicken and was really creeped out about it, which I did not find out till later on. I had to go to the market and they had not mentioned having any issues or "feelings" about the stuffed chicken. I came back and they seemed fine. Note they had actually taken the stuffed chicken and put the back room of this house in the rec room far away from the living room (room they were sleeping in at night) as they could and put in it in a box. I did not even know they had done this. They did not mention it and I never even missed it. Night came and I thought all was well till morning. When I was awoken by very upset parents and they were having a fit. I came in to the living room where they had been sleeping on sofa and the stuffed chicken was sitting on the back of the couch looking down at where they were sleeping. They were saying we are leaving early etc., just really upset. Then they told me that they had put the stuffed chicken out in the rec room in a box and was demanding to know how it got there and how it had been creeping them out. Very upset. I knew nothing about it and had no idea and i did not move it as I did not know it was not still sitting on the other couch in the living room as I had not noticed it being gone. They were so upset I had to put the chicken in another room (my office) in a box in a closet, it was the only way they would stay. Then they would not go in the office though as they knew it was in there. They insisted that I get rid of it, that it was bad and that its "beady eyes" was watching them all the time. Both of them carried on about it. They said when it was in the apartment I had lived in and other places it was fine. I was like, OK well, I did not know what to say to make them feel better. I never had any issues with the stuffed chicken. But I cant have it out when they are around for visits as they freak out and are upset that I still have it. I dont think the stuffed chicked was haunted but it sure freaked out my family.

I had a stuffed Pheasant named Egbert. I don't know why or how he got that name. I think Egbert would have been the exact opposite of Haunted Chicken though. The only memory or feeling that could have attached itself to Egbert was the sheer joy when he was served in a mushroom and white wine sauce at thanksgiving one year. I wonder where Egbert is now? I better call the States tomorrow because it would be cool to have him here. /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

I think objects can be just as haunted as a location or a building. After all a building is made up of numerous objects. Same thing as a graveyard. Our body is just an object with a lot of emotional ties in it. An argument could be made about just anything. It could just take one object with personal attachment to become haunted once the living person has passed.

I agree! I read a well-documented story once of a family who lived in a house that was not haunted, but, they went to an antique shop/auction and the wife just had to have this "18th Century French" period table with drawers for their "breezeway/foyer" in their house. Their house immediately became "very haunted!" I mean "Poltergeist" haunted, objects flying, apparitions, "the works." So yes, objects can be just as haunted!

If you think you can trust your government, then just ask a "Native American Indian."

besides the Warrens, John Zaffis probably has the largest collection of haunted objects to date although I think most of his stuff has been cleaned.

If anyone would like to read a horror-fiction novel about a "haunted object," then please read, "Heart-Shaped Box" by Joe Hill. Creepy stuff!

I sometimes wonder if spirits are in some way connected to objects. I like to shop Goodwill for items that I can use in my various experiments which could be scientific, alternative medicine or food preparation in nature. I don't believe that any of the items that I have in my home have any spirit connected to them.

I do recall seeing a movie years ago about Eastern Air Lines Flight 401 that crashed into the Florida Everglades about 40 years ago and about 100 died but there were also survivors. Here is a decent web site about paranormal activity that occurred on other Eastern Air Line Tri-Star flights. Many of the parts from Flight 401 were salvaged and installed on other Tri-Star planes. The ghosts of the Flight 401 pilot and flight engineer were seen by many people, including the flight crews and passengers of other Tri-Star planes. With that many witnesses, how can skeptics dismiss the sightings of these ghosts on other flights?

http://ghostsnghouls.com/2012/…..ed-planes/ Flight 401 is listed here as are four other flights. There are a couple of interesting comments below the stories.

For you movie fans, I found the entire movie based on Flight 401. Do know that when a movie is based on a true event or book, not everything that is shown in the movie is factual.
