Shelley, Keats and Lord Byron were all romantics, and atheists as well. They all wanted to wish a world that fit their dreams versus reality, and good luck with that. Currently, my life aligns with my hopes, but reality will soon intrude and bust me out. Then I will have to adjust. This is material reality.

then currently you are a very lucky man.

because that doesn't always happen.

and the fact you can adjust when needed

says a lot too. i would even venture to

guess that you are content in your life.

So content. My youngest went to bed, saying she loved me. My wife closed the light in the hallway. She winked. "Tambien Papi!"

Dawk, it sounds like you have what

most people dream of. Be happy /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Don't think "for now", think "forever"

Because I only have my daughters on weekends, I have far less influence. Still, I take every opportunity to make relevant boys uncomfortable. Mrs. Dawkins Dos clucks her tongue, but laughs with me when I make such a boy nearly piss his pants. When my daughters live with me, there is no Internet, no laptops or cell phones beyond 10:30 PM. No exceptions.

Wondering why you only have custody of your girls on weekends ? Maybe tooo much TMI for this board.

For now.

I can't resist. I know how much you love it when I get all new agey – so here goes.

Now is the only thing that matters anyway, silly. Why worry about what is to come?

Okay – I return you to your regularly scheduled whatever.

Have already revealed too much. Out of my comfort zone. No offense.

I try to live in the now whenever possible. Think everyone should, within reason.

This reminds me of a lesson I learned in raising my daugters.

Just when I thought I had control, they taught me I had none!

Changed my whole outlook on parenting.

Just bought a Knights Templar Consistory pin that is reputedly haunted.

So far nothing out of the ordinary. It looks good on my backpack though

and it better behave! /wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

Very interesting, blame Dan Brown for my Templar fascination.

Did the pin come from Scotland?

Very cool, PD. Have it blessed! /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

No the pin came from a collector in New York that would only sell it

to a Scottish Rite Mason. I don't believe the pin needs to be blessed.

I would like to attach it to a copy of the Vaticans apology to the Templars

that they published this year. I believe I will wear it to lodge from now on

for luck! /wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

The now is the now. Knowing I have to wake up early in the morning, my wife filled the jacuzzi, told me to haul in, handed me a Spaten, and said she had no further plans. Tomorrow is a different matter.

Nope! The pin still resides on my work back pack and as of

yet has displayed no haunted qualities. Could've just been

a brother that wanted out of that collectors shop though. /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I can hear the podcast now. "Owww….it's poking me." "I'm feeling phantom pin pricks." "Ooops – JD has a tornado coming."
