I got a question that maybe someone here can answer. I remember reading a story about the filming of Raiders of the Lost Ark right after it came out in theatres. It mentioned that when they were designing the Ark from specifications from the Bible that someone died. They decided to change up some of the Ark so it wasn't identical to the one in the Bible.

Does anyone remember or know anything of this? I couldn't find anything on the internet or snopes.

Huh – maybe Jason (dibbuk box) knows. He built an Ark for the dibbuk box.

I wrote about living with a haunted object in the April edition where my dad brought home a guitar and backback that also had a spirit aboard. That was freaky enough. Knowing first hand how your life gets turned upside down, inside out and every which way but loose. It became comforting after awhile. I suppose it depends on the object, the spirit and how you react.

I have always thought that "I"personally may be haunted. It seems as though no matter where I've ever lived, there has always been some paranormal activity. Cats jumping on the bed that I can't see, but can feel them "jump up" and see the indentations, the infamous shadowy figures out of the corners of my eyes. Knowing you placed an item in one spot, because that is where it goes, but finding it the next day in a completely different spot, (living alone). Weird things just seem to happen around me. Not everyday. Not even every week. But, no matter where I have ever lived…….

Who was it that once said: "Houses aren't haunted, people are?"

Hi EmeraldEyes!

I definitely think there is something to people attracting spirits and paranormal activity.

Nowhammies, someone has to write about Robert the Doll

http://www.robertthedoll.org/

And, of course the "Hope Diamond". Which I saw at the Museum of Natural History. Many years ago.

And, King Tutankhamum's Mask. Which I saw too. At the Metropolitan Museum years ago.

I just realized you guys were talking about Robert here. Sorry, I didn't see this first.

I saw the doll in Key West (got married there). It's just that typical creepy dolls they use to make back then. There's other odd ball things based in Key West that is really interesting. Remember, in the past they were isolated down there.

My son is very much into cars (and I mean too much). So, there's a story about James Dean' s car, Porsche Spyder.

It was believed that anyone who encounter the vehicle (or with it's parts) became injured, or suffered some sort of back luck.

And, the car mysteriously disappeared.

Key West is just full of interesting stories of the weird and paranormal — it's a lot like New Orleans that way.

Here is one my favorite Key West tales.

Okay – so by now, you may have listened to the Dibbuk box podcast. The article will be out in just a few days. I'm interested in people's take on this. When I first saw it, my first thought was urban legend. So that was how I approached it in research. Then, talking with Jason – he comes across to me as quite credible. So I dunno – like everything else, I'm on the fence.

JD has definitely been the most skeptical of the box, and yet he's had some things happen (including during the podcast, when we were told something might happen). Power of suggestion? Confirmatory bias? Something to it?

Let's talk.

I listened read and researched. Yes, it all sounds quite credible.

But, I'm still skeptical and view it as folklore, very interesting folklore.

The Dibbuk Box is very interesting but I'm not too sure how I feel about the believability of it all. I'd love to actually see it.
