lmao, so true....

About the "officially haunted thing" I have often wondered how they decide that myself, but there is a actual list of 'officially haunted' locations in the U.S. I have no idea why the government even bothers with things like that, but it's most likely for economic growth through travel hot spots.

I think it's an interesting story and legend, but we didn't have anything "supernatural" happen.

Hey everyone!

I just went to the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose' (a long road trip for me!!). I was wondering if anyone else has gone there and what they thought about it. I was disappointed that I wasn't allowed to take any pictures on the tour, so sadly I have no images for you guys. I went on the last tour of the night, which started just after 5, so I got the cool night effect that most people don't get to experience. One person in my tour group was from the Greenbay Area Ghost Hunters. Apparently there are only two locations in california that are considered to be officially haunted and that was one of them. (The other place is the Whaley House)

So has anyone been there before? Please share.

We toured the house a year ago and were allowed to take photos. Between my husband and me, we took hundreds! We also went back for a private tour a couple days later and learned a lot more interesting information rather than just what they tell you on the regular tour. I love that place. It's really fascinating and the grounds are BEAUTIFUL.

Definitely disappointed, and felt it was more hype than anything. The story behind the woman and the house is incredibly interesting, however, the only "haunting" that I can see taking place is a personal haunting of Mrs. Winchester.

Weird about photos, they allowed us to take them.
