Yea, that's a good idea. Staying in a hotel close to where the hospital is - not a good idea!!!

Good luck, have fun!!! The way you're doing it, during the week, is the way to go. After you guys go we should have a little online meeting. It'd have to be done privately because there is a lot of information from each investigation I've done that I don't share publically, but I'd love to compare what you guys got there versus what we captured and experienced. It's kind of a little experiment I have going with some other investigators around, too. To compare, contrast but to actually have the same type or similar footage/experiences in these places by different people, different times of the year tends to give it more of a "concrete" basis, if you know what I mean!

I do need to reiterate that it is $100 per person, regardless of how many attend. They have a minimum number of 10, so they make at least $1000, at least I believe I got that right. Either way, regardless of when we end up going, I really look forward to going back to Waverly.

	MK,

My wife and I decided to make this our "paranormal road trip" next year as it is only 4.1 hours from St. Louis where some of her fam/friends are. I made an initial inquiry and for 8hr. overnight invests, it is 100 per person. I was going to check on date availability but booking starts Jan. 4th 2010.

I think it would be foolish to plan on the building being there indefinitely and although the Mattingly's are doing well with it, I hope to look back fondly as having been able to investigate it should something happen and the site become unavailable.

Cheryl, I know we talked about this before, but I cant remember

do you have a time line on this trip? did you say April?

I'm so glad you and your wife are planning on going Andy. That is awesome!

Originally we had talked about possibly doing this around spring. BUT ... given some limited finances, we may need to move this to later in the year, maybe September or October. We need to decide soon though, because as Andy said, Waverly starts booking Jan. 4.

Also, we plan on trying to get a date that allows just one group of 10 or more to investigate the entire facility for a night. If they still offer that option during the week, that's what we are going to do. Then we won't have to worry about 40 or so people! It'll just be our group. We were also planning to meet the night before and have dinner, etc. A PUG party so to speak!

I think you'll be really intrigued by the place, to say the least. I do think it's active, but you have to know what to look for in a sense. Ironically when we were there, a group of people were somehow able to get in a cooler of beer and ruined a few hours of the night as well, but it did help with the ratio of idiots to serious people throughout the night. It's like any other place open to the public. It may or may not be haunted, but by chance it is, despite the idiots that can be obnoxious before they get bored and leave, you have a pretty good chance of still experiencing something paranormal and possibly capturing it on film, video or a voice recorder.

I'll be anxiously awaiting the return of your investigation there. I know it's still down the road, but be sure to post what you think of the experience in general!

Thanks, hopefully there will be a high attrition rate of less-than-serious folks as the hours wear on. I am fully aware that these won't be the best investigation conditions to hope for, but we will try to maximize our time on site. The QM event I attended was a disappointment due to a lot of factors. Drunks in our group, people constantly whispering, and being rushed from one area of the ship to another like cattle. It made it hard to "smell the roses", if you will. Even though I was disappointed in the circumstances, I still has a really cool personal experience and a decent EVP. Not bad for less than ideal circumstances.

I don't really know what to expect from Waverly regarding their investigation structure, but I know that there will be sacrifices. Just to get the opportunity to investigate it on a more personal basis seems worth it to me, and 8 hours is a long time enjoy the building.

	Andy

Keep in mind, it is a pain in the rear to really get anything accomplished for the first couple hours of the night, but people to start to leave, and quickly. By 2am there weren't many people left at all when we were there.

(I even rented that horrible movie that was shot there, just for fun!)

I have also talked to people who have been there themselves.

I want to go mainly to see the structure, to see the renovations, to see the spectacle of such an enormous piece of history in an area not so far from mine. They did wonderful things there and they did horrible things there. I want to absorb anything that I can at Waverly Hills.

I am also going to meet some really great people that I spend a great deal of my time with. This experience is so much more to me than walking around in the dark looking for spooks.
