Excellent!!! I'd love to see someone go in there and give that place thorough going over. Apparently that & the lobby of the Palmer House Hilton are the only structures still standing that withstood the great fire. You know, I've never mentioned this to anyone but I went to a restaurant that I believe may have been "That Steak Joynt" and had some odd things happen. It was only afterwards that I discovered it's reputation. Has there been any carry over to the new restaurant that exists at the location now?

The Palmer House was discussed in "The Devil In The White City" that I just finished reading…I'm not familiar with "The Steak Joynt" legend but will look into it as I plan on getting back to downtown Chicago soon ….b
