Well, I was in Gettysburg for some interviews in a nearby town and decided to take a Ghost Tour of the Jenny Wade House. (The one where she was killed not the one she lived in) Interesting story and house. The guide also talked of the Ghost Adventures crew being there the week before to film an episode for the new season.

While doing a tour the same weekend they were filming a girl took a photo of a wash basin and mirror and what appears to be a blurry headless woman can be seen in the mirror. Well, they were impressed and even mentioned it to Zak and the boys. They apparently were also impressed and interviewed the girl for the episode. Here is the photo she took.

So, of course while on the tour I had to take a photo of the same mirror to see if I could get an image. Well, to my surprise I got an ORB at the same mirror. BUT, I don't believe in orbs.

Well, anyway here is the photo. It looks like a 3 dimensional bubble with the same clarity as the rest of the photo. It was taken with my iPhone because I had forgotten my camera in my room. I make no claims but I have never seen an orb like this one and there was no one blowing bubbles while on the tour that I saw. Take a look and see what you think.

Sure I have had people tell me its dust and moisture. Seems that is the standard answer no matter what. lol

Well I cant say if its ghost or not, I dont think its dust. Iv never seen any type of dust that can look like that lol. Whatever it is its interesting Ill give you that. As to the "headless" image, the picture itself is too blurry in all for me to say its a ghost either. Somethings there, and it sure looks like a dress but who knows. Im sure it was an interesting tour all the same

Remember, dogs and cats are better than kids because they:

(1) eat less,

(2) don’t ask for money all the time,

(3) are easier to train,

(4) normally come when called,

(5) never ask to drive the car,

(6) don’t smoke or drink,

(7) don’t want to wear your clothes,

(8) don’t have to buy the latest fashions,

(9) don’t need a gazillion dollars for college and

(10) if they get pregnant, you can sell their children ..

Several people have given that explanation as a given. I have looked at a lot of photos with lens flare (both accidental and deliberate with photo shop) but can't seem to find any that look like just like this one. (a 3D bubble) The phone case I have also acts like a lens hood to help with lens flare but alas it's still just a phone.

I have gotten a lot of feedback on causes. I even got a response from a photographer who said I was unprofessional for posting it. Even though I said it was for fun and was just asking for opinions. Even funnier are the people that have obvious dust and bugs on their sites but are quick to explain away everyone else's photos. lol

Anyway, I am not a paranormal orb believer but am having trouble explaining this photo. So, I appreciate the opinions but I was wondering if anyone that knows for sure what caused it might have a photo with a 3D bubble like this? So far I haven't been able to find one or recreate it and would like something for comparison.

Here are a bunch of photos of lens flare . Maybe I missed one that looks like what I have.

No, no one blowing bubbles. That was the first thing I thought of but I have talked to tour guide also and no one bubble blowing.

I didnt really think there probably was haha.

But it really does look like a real bubble.

You can see the roundness, even the white

light at the top seems to bend around like it

was on a sphere.

If you ever figure out what it was let us know

I figured you really didn't think so but it was a possibility that had to be addressed.

I have looked at photos of lens flare, and other problems but although they look like the classic orbs, none really look like 3D bubbles. I even looked at photos of bubbles.

This photo looks to me just like a bubble. It looks more like the light is reflecting off of the bubble instead of the bubble being created by the light. Not saying that is what it is or it has made me a believer. Just saying what it looks like to me.

I'll keep looking and trying to duplicate it. I was just an odd occurrance for me as I have taken thousands of photos over the years and never had this problem.

Here is a close up too. It still looks like a bubble to me.

Here are some bubble pics.

it really does have that same 3D spherical look to it as the bubbles do.

only difference being bubbles give off a rainbow reflection and yours

is white. im really curious now to see if you can figure out what it was

good shot of a bubble on the right side of the pic

more bubbles

My initial thought is lens flare as well since the bright points line up with that light bulb up top. It looks like one of the regular glass light bulbs also. But since light bulbs are glass bubbles to begin with.

Here is a photo I found of the same area. This was taken by someone else with a regular camera and flash. You can see the light is one of those sconces with a flame shaped bulb and not a bright incandescent one.

I agree it doesn't look like normal lens flare…….

But a cell phone camera lens is a bit different than an average camera — size does matter…….

It's lens flare….

And the other pic is a flash reflection ……

I have taken the Jenny Wade ghost tour also -- it is a good one….

We took a "Ghosts of Gettysburg" tour this weekend -- they are good too………

What is most striking to me is that, while incredibly bubble like, it's clearly not a soap bubble- there isn't any hint of that rainbow of colors that bubbles pick up. It looks like it's almost glass- and when you blow it up, it doesn't even seem completely round. I hesitate to say it, but to me it does appear that it's not as 3-dimensional as it appears. It's almost like it's a halo with something forming in the center- but that could just be me staring at it too much.

Either way, it's fascinating. Whatever it is, it's one of the cooler photos I've seen.
