Never done a church before, but I would like to comment on the proximity of the locations. Recently I was in a conversation with someone who lives a town over from me. The topic was homes being built in the 60's-70's that immediately had activity- like several houses in a row having similar activity. Are they all old homes or newer homes, say built in the past 40 years?

All the homes on thier part of main street were originally built between 1740 & 1800. They all had been added on to amd modernized over the years and they all thought them to have been built in the early 1900's when purchased. However, during renovations of all three it was learned how old they were after they found old fireplaces, log walls, etc. when tearing down exisiting walls. Then they did limited research afterwards also.

Looks like I have my work cut out for me on this one.

I have contacted the Catholic dioscese responsible for the area and they are sending me some information on the church. It was deconsecrated as is the norm before selling. They did tell me that the cornerstone that says rebuilt in 1901 is incorrect. The church did not burn down as I was told by the owners but was heavily damaged, repaired and added on to.

We were recently contacted by a family who has lived in the same small town for generations. Now they all live on the same street almost right next to each other in homes that span a few hundred years and one now lives in the Old Catholic church.

As far as doing an examination it should be interesting as they are so close and are having similar experiences that we will do all three at the same time. Their stories are interesting but not unusual.

My question is has anyone done a church before?
