Hello PUG!

I am very new to the community, but not to the paranormal. I was listening to a recent podcast where you interviewed Jason about the Dibbuk Box. In the podcast Jason spoke about the ability to trap a spirit or entity inside of something like this Dibbuk Box. My first thought at this was – what if we could catch a remove negative spirits from the houses we investigate? Please understand, I am not a random ghostbuster fan boy, but I think that if this was possible it would change the way we think about "hauntings". Imagine being able to remove a negative entity from a household that was being terrorized, and then being able to confidently say 'Your house is clean'.

Just a thought that I wanted to share and hopefully get some feedback on.

Interesting idea. Though I'd wonder what they would do with the negative once it was caught.

Kinda like in Ghostbusters. Remove the ghost and put it into a containment field. Interesting idea. It's one that requires more information about what ghosts are and made of before making a container.

LOL Didn't the containment field break in the movie or get shut off? I'll have to go watch it again. It's been a long time. All I can recall is stay puft, slimer, the freaky librarian and a dancing slime toaster, lol.

I don't know why but right now I am thinking of those "ghost in a bottle" things. I know that is a marketing gimmick to make money – but imagine if you actually could capture the ghosts in a bottle and sell them.

Um, can I order one who compulsively likes to clean? Ooh, and cook. LOL. How great would that be?

Though, I could see people buying them, letting them out, just so their house would be haunted. Or, we could start a ghost wildlife preserve and free them all. /blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rolleyes:' />

Actually – that is an experiment I would love to do. Have a bunch of people order a ghost in a bottle. Break it. See what happens.

Yeah – I'd take a compulsive cleaner myself. And maybe one who adores doing laundry.

LOL Wouldn't we be surprised when things really do come flying out, pissed about being shoved into a bottle and sold. I know that's not how I want to spend the afterlife. In fact, I think I'll look to haunt a human who likes to clean, /biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rolleyes:' />

Depends on the bottle – if it was a bottle of booze – I might enjoy it.

Yeah, realistically, it would be offensive to trap ghosts like that, especially since we don't have a solid understanding of their existence.
