I'll start this thread asking a question. What are your thoughts on what some refer to as "shadow people"? You know, those dark, solid shapes that are sometimes seen and/or photographed?

What a great topic for a thread. I am not too sure what Shadow People might be, whether they are some sort of spirit, or extra dimensional beings. I do know that Waverly Hills Sanatorium is supposed to be chock full of them, so we will see when we go their next Spring. Here is a link to Wikipedia which might shed more light on so-called Shadow People:

Here is another link to a site which supposedly has peoples' personal experiences with Shadow People:

In our house I would see them occasionally. I would think right away they were just shadows, but then there would be nothing there to make a shadow. They usually happened quite fast.

I also had a little shadow dog that I guess would fit in that category.

I know of several "no-b.s.-try-to-debunk-everything-type" of people who have experienced them. Their occurrences happened at….TADA!….Waverly. One of the people had been in the paranormal business for decades told me it was the most frightened she's ever been.

I live in Western WA. There is no sun, so we see no shadows.

Which, apparently, why the Vampires live (live?) there. Are we going to have a Vampire thread?

I have never seen shadow people, but as a young man I consorted with a number of shadowy individuals.

"Hey kid, go to the place and see the guy about the thing," I'd be advised.

Creepy subject. I have one in my house. And, yes, we debunked everything. I just tell it to go away. And, it does.

No. It happens within seconds. I would never have enough time. My mother has slept over, and seen "something" /wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' /> . And, because of her age. She thinks it's her eyes that is doing it. Lol!

I guess tha tmy problem with the shadow people phenomena is that our eyes CAN play tricks on us, and often do. To play the devils advocate, it could be something as simple as a clod going over the moon, a bird or a plane flying by, a near syncopal episode, or eye trash…(I don't remember the actual name of it, but we have garbage that floats around in the fluid of the inner eye, and occasionally it becomes noticeable in your vision.)

So bearing all that in mind, and with a severe lack of plausible evidence, I'd have to lean towards the trick of the mind camp….Although, if I DID see something like that, as a personal experience, and was unable to explain it away from the above examples, I would be more inclined to blame demons than anything else…

Actually, Karen, I have photographed a dark object, several times, on the Gettysburg battlefield. Once, immediately after taking one of the photographs, I used my digital recorder to see if "it" had anything to say. Several profanities were recorded.

Okay, I know, I will dig up the pictures and post them in the gallery! /wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

The area it hangs around is my foyer. No windows. It's basically enclosed. It goes back and forth every so often. The area I live is around the corner from the Stratford Horse Farm. During the Revolutionary War. John Stratford was the body guard of G. Washington. The same family lives there today. They originally owned the whole area around where I live. I don't know what was here originally.

Yeah, that would work if multiple people didn't see the same thing going on at the same time in our humble abode. And I don't believe in demons, so we're total opposites on this subject. LOL
