So heres the story. The other night I had a seance with my freind. I have never seen a ghost, have never had a paranormal experience (besides seeing a flying saucer when I was young), and am just asking to be nailed in the face by a ghost or somethign along those lines. During this seance we turned all the lights off, and put a single candle in the middle of the table we were using. We then summoned a spirit (or at least tried to) by calling on dead relatives or anyone who would care to come and say 'hello im dead!' but to no avail. So then we got out a mirror and took turns holding it in front of one anothers eyes while we asked theses supposed spirits to interact with us. Even though staring into that mirror with it being silouetted by a candle was almost drop dead scary, nothing happened. This pissed me off immensly for i have even tried ouiji boards on top of someones grave but nohting seems to work. So I was wondering if anyone had any techniques for me to try that might help me see a ghost? Chanced are it won't work cuz nothing ever does for me, but im desperate people! Thank you =D

Please try to not try so hard. Also just for naught get rid of the Ouija board before you do something you can't undo. Just my opinion and advice for someone I do not know.

I don't know exactly what you are expecting whether it's physical contact or just a visual encounter. Just on a whim I'd suggest obtaing the permission of a local salvage yard that has contracts for storing insurance " total loss" accident claims. I would hope this advice serves you well. I somehow don't think you will be disappointed.

Sometimes that's what you get with ghosts. I tend to believe that haunting and ghostly activity (for the most part) is far more subtle than people expect. It is actually quite rare to hear/see things that scream "ghost" at you.

Jordan- it is quite possible that spirits have "visited" you, but you just haven't noticed. Most people, like yourself, expect the overt- the reasonable and rational. If you ask for something, you get an answer. Our brains can only process what we've experienced. If you're expecting a certain response, and you don't get it, that doesn't mean there wasn't one. It just might have come in an abstract form. Something your brain couldn't make out or pick up. Some people really are just more in tune with their sixth sense, and you just might not be that person.

I also agree to stay away from seances and the ouiji board, regardless of your desperation for contact.

And at the end of the day, they just might not be that into you.

lol this is true, they may be tired of my constant nagging, nevertheless I shall continue my search!

One thing I can think of that I had very good results with was using a microphone plugged into a voice recorder- and headphones to listen in real-time. A friend of mine actually did this on a hunt together in a local cemetery during a full moon. My best advice is just listen to your gut instinct. Relax beforehand- recite a prayer, mantra- anything that works for you that will focus and calm you down. Go with friends and just listen to your hunches and point the microphone in that direction. Don't be disrespectful, and don't invite anything to hang out with you.

Of course, be sure to ask permission beforehand!

Don't mess with Ouija Boards….you may be opening up a portal. Years ago I had one and quickly got rid of it. Left it on my churchs steps.

If you want to talk to the other side, I would suggest got to a medium that can do this.
