I voted no, because I really haven't seen enough evidence to tip the scale. Ten years ago it would've been unequivocally no, but living with Karen has at least gotten me to consider the possibility.

I fart, therefore I art.

I have to say maybe. I think it would be impossible to prove, doesn't mean ghosts aren't there. I believe in a soul, and who knows what occurs to consciousness without a body.

Because consciousness has not been fully understood as yet, I wait. Neurologists are working on it, so my position is provisionally agnostic. Hate to be a fence-sitter though. Would love to advance a position that ruffles feathers. Can't. Yet.

Okay, calm down. If you wish to link consciousness with the idea of a "soul," I have a real problem. If you advance a theory that either remain after death, I have a larger issue. WTF is that all about, with theoretical coherence?

Oh carp. I've revealed a fatal flaw.

I'm of the opinion of Sam Harris, that because consciousness is not fully, robustly understood, one must seek more discovery. That doesn't mean that I feel the unknown is unknowable. I feel that an agnostic can base a provisional conclusion based on lack of evidence, then adjust accordingly. Though I am not an agnostic in many ideas, I feel it.

I am of the opinion that perhaps Jybian has an advanced intellect, perhaps a genius. How dare you challenge that?
