I guess I can add my 10 cents.

In all my years I have never been scared, seen a spirit in a cemetery or any of the more popular experiences you read so much about. So when I hear another like all the rest I tend to just ignore it. I am not saying what others say is not true. I am just saying that my experiences have been different.

Before going on please take into account that I am talking of spirits or ghosts and not smoke, mists, orbs, etc. I mean the actual experience of a spirit whether visual, audible or just feelings.

Now over the years these are some things that I have found and they don't all go along with the main stream of thought.

I have realized that at conservatively, 95% of all spirits were normal people. Moms, Dads, Brothers & sisters, etc. These are in most instances were nice people while alive and the same now so nothing to be scared of.

I have never seen a spirit in a cemetery, hospital, prison or any of the most common places you see on TV or used for public ghost hunts. Not that there are none in those places but if we are to believe spirits were once people then logically I cannot see why someone would frequent a place in death that they tried to avoid with all of their being in life. So, I would think that they wouldn't be overrun with spirits, thus making them hard places to find spirits.

I have also found that most spirits have a message, usually for someone specific. However, it is our egos or whatever that always presumes the message we get is for us.

Also, (this might get some negative feedback) not everyone can or will see a spirit and many who say they have, really have not. There is no fool proof way to see a ghost on queue. They see us as we see them. On occasion and mostly by accident. However, there is one thing that I have found that might peak your curiosity and might get you the results you seek. However, I have also found that many people think it is Taboo and won't do it, although I can't see why.

If you are interested I can tell you and it isn't anything earth shattering but I have not found anyone who has done it except for me so far but I have rattled on too much for now.

I've started to wonder about cemeteries, and spirits. You have your grave diggers and caretakers, some caretakers live in a house on the cemetery grounds.

I know of two caretakers that had this job their entire life, and lived on site.

Maybe the spirits of those who worked at a cemetery would come back to their cemetery, just a thought.

If you follow the line of thought, spirits come back to where they were in life.

Now, I'm wondering how many caretakers got buried a their place of employment.

As far as an actual apparition goes, I have seen four. (assuming you count shadow people, which accounts for 2 times) At least two or three of those occasions I think it was the same one though. But they are out there, I will assure you of that. I have found that things will happen when it is the furthest thing from what you expect, at least that's hoe it always happens for me.

I know I shouldn't be afraid of them, but unlike how you want to see a ghost, it is always been one of my greatest fears. At least my most recent incident didn't send me running.

Whoever said 'nothing is impossible' never tried nailing Jell-o to a tree.

many assume that ghosts, or spirits are see through and look like something on TV, the reason for this is that the only thing to go by is what we have seen on TV. The truth is that spirits have been seen in many forms to include as a regular full color and size human being.

There are instances/stories of "Ghosts" interacting with people and the people did not realize it until later that the were talking to a ghost /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

I might be lying, but I'm telling the truth

I am a very confused person at the moment, for I am in a predicament. I beleive in ghosts, yes, but it is weird that the people who don't beleive in them are the ones who see them. I have researched extensivley on how to see a ghost, went to cemetaries, haunted houses and the whole nine yards, but I have never seen one… and it makes me sad =..( so tell me, why is this? and have you seen a ghost?

I have only seen ppl that I know. So I figure that they wanted me to see them, possibly to put my mind at ease or to say good-bye.

I have been lucky enough to have seen two ghosts. Both were full bodied but translucent. One was my grandmother many years ago. The most recent was my wife's father. I had never met him but he looked like the pictures of him I saw after the fact. I didn't feel threatened at all. In fact I was at ease. I think Grandma came to say good bye. We are still trying to figure out why I saw her father.

I have managed to see a few ghosts though not as much anymore…My Mother as well has had her share of experiences…Both of us are firm believers but my Father on the other hand is not…and he is a complete skeptic. It may be because of that or not but he has never even one seen a ghost (that he had admitted at least). Even the experience of the "painted plate" that we all saw move he tried to convince everyone it had been a mini eartquake ^^
