Strawberries and cream.

I've got duck breasts thawing – I think I'm going to make seared duck with port cherry glaze for dinner. Yum.

Okay – that was good! Port cherry sauce with a hint of orange and thyme. I've made something like it and glazed salmon with it before, but it's pretty darn good on duck.

I am making a mixed grill of bone-in ribeye, corn on the cob, and asparagus. And I'm sweating like a chimp frustrated by shirt buttons.

Tawny ports, shallots, halved bing cherries, thyme, the leftover fond in the pan from sauteeing the duck and orange zest.

Yeah – but if I'd said "browned bits" instead, it would have sounded crappy.

Just finished feeding the boys. I wasn't hungry – so I just watched them eat. The rib-eye planned for last night.
