I almost forgot, hubby and I were out in the Valley one day last year when I noticed a new body charger in the right lane. It was a red light and I looked over, driving the car was Christopher Titus. My hubby complimented his car and he told us to follow him that he would show us the car. We followed him to the store he was going to and he told us everything he had added to the car, we talked to him for about 15 minutes. Nice guy, he was so down to earth. I am such a guy in that I can admire a beautiful car and all that goes into fixing it up. The picture that I added was taken by Titus, I was taking pictures and he wanted to take one. My ultimate car is a '59 Chevy Corvette, it doesn't need to be in mint condition I will try to work on it myself.

Who are these people? Is this another race car driver?

Christopher Titus is a comedian. He used to have his own show on Fox a few years ago.

Lady, your neighbor does a good job. I love going to car shows and looking at the cars. I don't know all the car talk but can appreciate a nice car and a big motor. I have a little bit of grease monkey in me.

I also almost forgot about meeting Rod Stewart and Rachael Hunter. Hubby and I had went to an arts & craft store in the valley, he was working on a model for a show coming up. He was talking to the owner when a guy came over to the car he built and picked it up. Hubby went to say something then realized it was Rod Stewart, he was nice and signed the car. Rachel was walking around and she had no makeup on, she was pretty. I thought she was taller but she seemed about my height or maybe an inch taller, I am 5'9.

Yeah I loved his show and his stand up. Very funny! And of course, all of his dad jokes are hilarious.

Not too long ago Joe Perry from Aerosmith came into the Visitor Center at my work…he wa short and had yucky hair lol

Also I flew on the same plane as Robert Goolay(I have no idea how to spell his name) he and his wife had about 30 suitcases, it was insane.

O and I was at a concert one night here in town and Chris Angel stood near us for awhile before going backstage

Another perk of Vegas is the occasional sighting when out and about

Met the entire Sabres team of the 2007-2008 season. My husband surprised me the weekend before our wedding and somehow finagled VIP passes for us to go down to the “locker room area” to meet all of the players after the game. It was very cool!! Such a huge surprise. I’ve met some of the Sabres in the past, too. It helped that my cousin’s friend was on the Sabres for a few years!

When we lived in Columbus we became friends with one of their NHL players, Rusty Klesla. It all started when we walked out of Sam’s Club together!! Met a few of the Columbus players too, but that doesn’t excite my hubby and me so much. *lol*

I met Ted Kennedy when I was only 12. Ran into him when we were in Washington DC so that was cool.

Musician/band people I’ve met over the years:

I’m friends with the guys from Live. I was actually a runner for them at a concert once, too which was fun!

Glen Phillips, lead singer from Toad the Wet Sprocket is a family friend

James (the band)

Paul Westerberg

311

Creed

Weezer

Blondie

Kiss

Aerosmith

Trent Reznor of NIN was a sax player in my uncle’s band back in the day. He’s truly a “nerd” and very nice. It’s hilarious how his stage and TV presence is so different.

Our Lady Peace

Nelson (go ahead, I laugh too!)

Breaking Benjamin

Filter (the singer and I grew up on the same street)

Gaelic Storm

Trapt

Stage

Seven Nations

Eddie Vedder

Train

We delivered a guitar to the guy from Starship once, too.

There were more people but I’m drawing a blank. Keep in mind, some of these people I know, some we met “by chance”, some are from “back I the day”, and some are from when my sister worked at the Rock Hall of Fame and Museum as the curator for all the exhibits.

As I've gotten older I've become more reclusive so unless someone famous appears at my home, it ain't happening!

You met Eddie Vedder and you didn't get me a date with him? But he's my soul mate.

Oh, I'm so sorry, NW!! If I would have known back then you and he were soul mates I could have helped you out!!!

He's a shorter guy. I'm only 5'4" and he was standing on a skateboard when we met him. He was only a few inches taller than me on the board, so I'm guessing he's close to my height, if only an inch or so taller. He was super nice, very cool and it was totally unexpected.

We went to see Pearl Jam for the umpteenth time, and this particular concert took place at Blossom which is a huuuuuge outdoor "park" venue. We were in one of the many parking lots walking toward the venue which was still probably about a mile away, and all of a sudden this guy comes down the hill on a skateboard. He stops, says "hey, are ya?" and my friend and I were speechless for a second when we realized it was Eddie Vedder skateboarding around the hills on the driveway. We talked for a minute or two, until this giant group of people came running over the hill like a bunch of zombies (which was reallllly freakin' hilarious looking) and Eddie said "Oh, time to go!" and off he sped away on his skateboard.

That was the best unexpected moment, or one of the best, of my life!

About 10 years ago I met and got to talk with Jack Kilby about how his work had affected peoples lives. Just in case you don't know, Jack invented the integrated circuit (super geek!).
