Sirius/xm radio has the blue collar comedy channel, I don't listen to it but it's there. I DID see the roast of larry the cable guy and it was pretty good!

I hear the same bits from Blue Collar and Raw Dawg all of the time. So I just listen to them every so often. I wish that they had Coast to Coast on there though, because my AM reception isn't great out here.

Yeah, I always liked listening to it when I used to work late. Driving home through the Mojave doesn't give you much to look at, so I used to listen to Coast to Coast all of the time.

I use to travel through Tonopah to Susanville and Reno, but back then it was Art Bell. He was a riot.

Great show and good guests. Especially the Halloween show.

Couldn't you get an am amplifier? I've got one for my stereo and i think they make one for cars.

I almost forgot my ultimate favorite famous person I met.

It was 8/26/09, it will be 10 years, so my hubby had told me that there was a bar in Culver City that was going to have one of John Force's cars on display and he wanted me to go see it. So we go to the bar and parked in front is the big rig with the car in the trailer. As I am standing there watching them take this beautiful machine out, a guy walks up beside me and starts talking about the car. I'm not paying him any attention cause I fell in love with the machine being removed, well I take a look out the corner of my eye & lo and behold it was John Force talking to me. I nearly passed out and almost forgot how to form coherent sentences. He was the nicest guy you could meet, down to earth, signed anything you wanted him too. Well the news was doing a report because it was for a charity event that he was sponsoring, the news reporter let me hold his microphone for some photos with John Force and the reporter. I also took a picture wearing one of John Force's jackets, sadly the camera did not work properly so I have no pictures but have the memories. The reporter I met was with channel 5 and his name is Roland Galvan, nice guy, he passed away in 2005.

Interesting category. Ok, let’s see, I guess I’ll start from when I was a child living in NY. My father was Bert Lahr’s insurance man. (Wizard of Oz Lion) Grew up with and knew some of the real wise guys in NY. (sorry I cannot drop their names. You will have to take my word for it. lol) Patti Hansen was my next door neighbor. (Model who married Keith Richards) Went to Military School with Tim Berra. (Yogi’s son) My math teacher was the brother of Chris Short of the Phila. Phillies. My English teacher was one of the original 11 Iron Men. (football team) Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf went to the same military school. Waited for lost luggage with Dudley Moore at JFK airport. I guess I will leave it there for now. I guess for all the people of any notoriety I have known or met, it is only good for having fun like with this post. They were all just people. Some nice some not so nice.

Well, i'll say it then, who is John Force?

I honestly don't know…did he invent the Air Force? or was this the guy that inspired George Lucas' "force"?

That is a good analogy. I remeber he was winning the championship every year. I am such a tomboy in the fact that I would so much rather go watch a good race (drag, motorcylce, drifting, nascar, etc.) then go be all fruh fruh with a bunch of other women. I loved working on the cars with my dad and grandpa, so much fun getting grease under my nails.

Wow! This is heavy duty! /biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I'd love to meet William Shatner. I have to ask, was his speech pattern crazy, like it is now? It just cracks me up.

I'd love meet Chris Walken, and listen to him speek. He has this strange speech pattern down, better than anyone!

Roy Orbison was great with The Traveling Wilbury's. Great voice!

William Shatner's speech wasn't as animated as it is today. He isn't very tall either. But being a trekkie, meeting him was superb!

Roy Orbison did have a great voice. His speaking voice was very quiet. He seemed like such an unassuming person.

Living where I live now, I don't expect to meet many celebraties anymore. I did meet Coach Bobby Petrino who use to coach the Atlanta Falcons (NFL) who is now coaching U of Arkansas. My son went to his football camp this summer.

I almost forgot, hubby and I were out in the Valley one day last year when I noticed a new body charger in the right lane. It was a red light and I looked over, driving the car was Christopher Titus. My hubby complimented his car and he told us to follow him that he would show us the car. We followed him to the store he was going to and he told us everything he had added to the car, we talked to him for about 15 minutes. Nice guy, he was so down to earth. I am such a guy in that I can admire a beautiful car and all that goes into fixing it up. The picture that I added was taken by Titus, I was taking pictures and he wanted to take one. My ultimate car is a '59 Chevy Corvette, it doesn't need to be in mint condition I will try to work on it myself.

Here's one more…he has some others that aren't finished and he is working on. I love the older model corvettes myself. I also have a hankering for a 67 mustang. It would be hard to pick just one. It would be like choosing a favorite child.
