How many beers did he have in him?

It was Spring of '97, and she was a scant dozen years removed from placing in the Miss Alaska pageant. She looked pretty good in her business suit back then, even though she was clearly going for the "take me serious" look.

I was having lunch with the Wasilla city engineers, and she approached our table as I was outlining the costs to repair the control systems they had neglected for years. When they gasped at the cost, I made an offhand comment about giving them a break on the labor if they could swing me a date with her. They turned beet red as she smiled and introduced herself. She then said that she would go over the budget and might have to take me up on it. I gotta give her points for handling it with more grace than most people would have.

After she left we all had a beer, in somewhat uncomfortable silence.

I fart, therefore I art.

Living in CA these are the people I have seen and/or met:

In my Dad's restaurant: Bob Ubanks (host of the original Newlywed Game), Lorenzo Lamas, Kernal Sanders (yep the guy that started KFC), Tommy Lasorda, and Gary Marshal(I am sure there were more, but it has been way over 20 years)

Four Season Hotel (Newport Beach): Harriet Nelson and grand-daughter (I can't remember her name)

Le Meridien Hotel: Carol king (that woman is sooo short), the B-52s, Guns and Roses, and Joe Montana

Disneyland Hotel: Michael Jackson, Gloria Estafan, Lou Gossit Jr, Jane Seymore, George Burns, Roy Orbison, the woman who played Uhura on the original Star Trek, Jimmy Osmond, Paul Michael Glasser, the kid who played the son on the Cosby Show

I have also seen: Telly Savalas on the freeway in his Rolls, Yul Brenner, Andrew Lloyd Weber, and Steve Martin

I got to meet William Shatner in High School when we were doing a program America the beautiful type of thing. We originally had Lorne Green lined up, but they realized he was Canadian, so they hired William Shatner, only to discover that he was Canadian as well /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' /> . I guess they gave up because William ended up narrating the piece at the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion

I haven't been back to California in 8 years, so yes, I understand that some of these people are dead. I remember Roy Orbison, he was such a nice guy, his wife was a witch though /unsure.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> . I checked Jane seymore in one day, and she is just as beautiful in person (ofcourse that was around 87 or 88) I have already told you my Michael Jackson story in another thread.

When I was in Middle School I met Blossom. She was lurking around the hallways, I guess hiding from fans or something during a student assembly that me and a couple of buddies decided to skip.

"The Breakfast Club" was filmed at my high school, long after I graduated of course.

And here I was hoping that you were THE Richard Dawkins! /wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I'd love to meet William Shatner. I have to ask, was his speech pattern crazy, like it is now? It just cracks me up.

I'd love meet Chris Walken, and listen to him speek. He has this strange speech pattern down, better than anyone!

Roy Orbison was great with The Traveling Wilbury's. Great voice!

I met Jeff Dunham at the In N Out by my job, he was just flying back in from a show. If the name is unfamiliar, he is a ventriloquist, my favorite puppet of his is Peanut. His website is jeffdunham.com.

I have his dvds and watch them when I am feeling down. I love all the puppets but am more partial to Peanut and Walter, he kind of reminds me of my grandpa.

I want to see him live, was trying to get tickets to his show but they were gone already. Ahkmed is funny. I haven't seen the christmas dvd yet but will get it soon.

Jeff Dunham had a cameo in Delta Farce, only watched the movie because I was told he was in it.

I am proud to say I am a fan of the Blue Collar guys, Bill Engvall has a tv show on one of the cable channels.

Ron White, I love his tater salad bit. Saw a 60 minutes interview they did with Larry, to hear his regular voice is strange, no accent.
