down to earth, that is why I like racing.

I got hammered with Jack Palance at a Ukrainian festival acouple of years ago. He was quite a down to earth guy. And man could he pound them down too.

Working in security at most of the Sci-Fi cons I attended in the 60s and 70s, I met many of the big names at the time. I met most of the casts of ST:TOS, the Irwin Allen menagerie and many writers among the crowds. Too bad I gave it up in the eighties…

I interviewed Bert Lahr's great nephew for an article this month! (Bert Lahr is probably best known as the Cowardly Lion from the Wizard of Oz)

Yeah, when he told me I thought it was very cool. I am a HUGE Wiz of Oz fan. IN fact, for Christmas, Chad got me a Limited Edition 70th Anniversary The Wizard of Oz Ultimate Collector's Edition! #229,231 out of 243,000. hahahah!

I also tried out for a city play production of The Wizard of Oz when I was like 12 and made it! It was loads of fun. LOL

(Did he buy lots of insurance from your dad? /tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' /> )

My Grandparents (my mothers parents) owned the land that Disneyland is now on. It was an orange grove and they sold it to Mr. Walt Disney himself.

Since the discussion of scary movies came up, I was walking into the 7-11 by my house and Tony Todd (Candyman) was walking out. He wasn't as scary in person, just tall.

Cheryl, that is wrong. But when I noticed him I wanted to walk away. He smiled at me, so I nodded and said hi.

I was on a date at the Top of the Hub in Boston. I saw a bunch of the Boston Bruins having dinner 2 tables away. I smiled and waved, some of them waved back but most were pretty toasted.

I saw Carl Maldin at a luah on Maui in the early 80's, we were both partaking in the free Mai Tais. I smiled and waved, he waved back.

I used to work in a fitness center on Ft. Riley and Steadman came into the little coffee shop we had there. I smiled and waved, he waved back.

My husband used to work on an armored car in MA. He had to bring this big heavy delivery into the Worcester Centrum. He pushed thru a door and a bunch of bodyguards tried to stop him and gave him some lip. Then this one dude piped up to "just let the man do his work boys…"- that was Neil Diamond. I can guess that neither my husband nor Neil Diamond probably smiled or waved.

My daughters went to an event in KS and met then VP **** Cheney. Neither was very impressed by meeting and shaking hands with the then #2. As a matter of fact, my youngest said his hand was "creepy and soft" (ewwww).

Those are the only ones I can think of for now.

Oh, and for the record, I never flashed anyone at an Aerosmith concert but I did win tickets from D'Angelos sub shop back in '83 I think. We were in the 6th row. Steve Tyler was so messed up that they only did a couple of songs and then they had to take him down thru a trap door in the stage. It was a major bummer. I think that he did his first stint in rehab after that. No smiles or waves that night /blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />
