Really? Lucas is going to really drive the stake through the heart of the franchise…so sad! If he wanted to do something useful how 'bout updating the special effects on the original 3 so they don't look so cheesy by today's standards?

Or re-writing the first three so they mesh/make sense of the original trilogy…

I liked the first one since the special effects are horrible and the new one is just missing something. It was ok but that's it. Nothing special about seeing it in 3D either.

I don't know where I heard it, so let's just say perhaps a visit to snopes.com might be in order, but I hear the new 3-d technology is supposed to be really bad for your eyes (not yours in particular Ryan, the collective "your").

I looked around and all I could find was the standard warning about the 3-D tv that is on the horizon causing stroke, seizures and motion sickness…which isn't exactly the same as what I'd heard that there might be an adverse effect on the eyes. Oh well. To this point Scopes had nothing.

exact same reaction I'd had, but I'd initially heard this on the radio, could be sour grapes of a dying medium trying to zap the reigning champ? One never knows the agendas anymore..
