?? no idea BUT interesting parallel story. One of my Brother in laws was a career navy guy and one of his last posts was as a commodant of one of the last us bases in Japan. My sister used to go over to visit occassionally and one time she went with mutual friends to go shopping in Korea, but couldn't…it was closed. So they got to the border but there was a Korean Army type there telling them that the borders were closed to honor some kind of religious holiday. My sister and her friend were stunned…the country was closed? LOL, no wonder Kim Jung Il was so ronrey.
