My group was recently contacted about performing an investigation at a local place. It started with some janitors taking some pictures of ghosts that they saw. The person in our group who was first contacted got a hold of the pictures. He quickly discarded them but we are still considering doing an investigation there anyhow. It's a great opportunity even if nothing there is haunted. Anyway I figured I'd post the pictures that they sent us just so you can see what we got.

The first one has that "Help me Obie Won thing from Star Wars going on.

It's what came to mind.

The last one is just creepy, Ryan. The clothing looks sort of Victorian.

The middle one, I can't tell if the whole figure is transparent, or if there is a whole figure or just a head shape and arm shape.

Those are the only three that I have seen. I think it's more of a Iphone app that allows people to insert ghosts in pictures that they take with the cell phone camera. I've heard of about two or three apps that do this.

Oh OK. Wow, is it getting really easy to fake photos!

Why is it all wet?

Why would they fake pictures and ask you to investigate?

Boy – it would be awesome if ghost pictures really looked like this, huh?

Exactly! Are there any genuine reports of activity?

The first one looks like a star wars shot

The middle one is definitely an Iphone app fake I saw it already on the forum not to be named

The third is probably one too /huh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

Ryan, I got to ask do you think they will plant something if you investigate?

I'm with Karen, what's up with the water.

Did they ever ask you what you thought of the pictures?

Interesting: I have seen that last "apparition" in at least two other pictures around the internet… One just recently at the top of some stairs in a house. So yeah… I wouldn't put ANY faith in what has been told to you here, Ryan.

We have no other reports of any activity at the location. I can't disclose what kind of location without giving away who owns it and all. I don't know what is up with the water in the one picture. One of the other members of the team is handling all the details. I believe that the people who faked the pictures are just janitors and thus if they plant anything to hinder our investigation could get in trouble. I think for them it was a one time thing. The contact we have is not one of the ones taking the pictures. But we will still be on our guard. This might just be one of those investigations of a place that is not reportedly haunted and we get to prove that it's not.

Looks like a locker room or something like it. I find that none of the photos being in good focus is weird. Then all the other posts raise one more question for me.

If the sophistication of cameras and phones makes it easy to fake photos for anyone. How are we to know which ghost photo is real and which photos are not? Our own photos included… Seems like technology may be hindering us more than helping us?

That's the problem nowadays. We have to be constantly aware of everything and take any evidence with a grain of salt.

That was our opinion as well. I really had high hopes for this place before we got the pictures. It's a very large place and might have required us contacting another group to assist us.

It might make us stick with private residences only perhaps.

That is exactly why I only trust Film, at least to fake film you really have to know what you are doing.

Makes you wonder what other agendas they had for your group's investigation.

It kind of seems like they were trying to see if Ryan's group would fall for the shenanigans!

The three photos have water in common and what appear to be apparitions.

In the first photo, I see water on the floor and an electric floor dryer. Is this a school building? The "ghost" appears to be in human form and has maybe wearing a school graduation gown, cap with tassel. The ghost is small compared to the size of the floor dryer.

Second photo, water on floor and maybe the same ghost on the left side. I see facial features and appears to be wearing a gown. Note the big sleeve of the gown. Size of ghost is comparable to size in #1 picture.

Third photo, water on the floor and the ghost is much smaller than in #1 and #2 photos. I can make out facial features, clothing features like collars and a plaid type of design. The much smaller size could be a child.

I have seen many online pictures of ghosts, most of which I feel were faked. I wish people would stop posting those faked photos and videos. Researching the paranormal is serious stuff and there is a lot of garbage posted on the internet. I especially hate the Youtube videos when jokers post ghost videos only to have something jump out at you to scare you and spill coffee all over the place.

Could these three photos be fake or are the images due to high humidity or reflections? I have no idea without having more information that the person taking the photos could provide. I have seen photos of mists in a forest and some could resemble a human spirit.
