Seriously? The thing looks cute as a button! It looks like they took Guidos' head from the cantina scene in Star Wars and put it on a Triceratops body, then blurred the edges and fingerpainted wings on it's back. Looks REALLY Photoshopped! /rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Yeah i told Monkette i thought it looked like a dinosaur body w/another weird monster head on it…very odd.

OMG….that would totally rock the casbah….we can make them region specific too. Like sell the loch ness monster ones in the British Isles, Big Foot ones in the pacific north west…chupacabra in the southwest/mexico and of course the jersey devil in the tristate area….they have to be filled though, so when you bite into them they "bleed".

How would you guys feel about a just for fun paranormal hoax contest – like who can hoax the best photoshopped paranormal critter or ghost, capture an EVP, etc.

No prizes. Just bragging rights. Anyone game?

Yes! Definitely! I think that it would be good for us to see how easily something can be faked these days as well…it gives us a better understanding of deciphering pictures of the paranormal..or the normal, as the case may be! /biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

I think for the loch ness animal crackers, we should use a jaffa filling (I believe it's a type of orange), for the bigfoot one use a ranier cherry filling, for the chupacabra leche filling, for the jersey devil use hershey's chocolate syrup…just a thought…So this is where the hoax talk came from…already have contributed but will add other stuff soon.

On the theory of hybrids. It is unlikely that some sort of canine or similar mated with something with wings and something was birthed. Even if that kind of mating happened, it is impossible for a one species to bare a child from another species anywhere in nature. I could see it as being a hoax at some point to keep the British or even everyone else so that the locals could have their run of the land for whatever reason. It could have even come from a native american tribe in the area as a story passed to the settlers who used it as a bedtime story to scare their kids. Then they passed it down and so on.

Monkey, you can use whatever you want as filling…I have been dying to use kumquats for filling…. /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' /> Yes siree…nothin' quite as tasty as a hippo cookie full of kumquat!!! /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' /> /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' /> /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

I could only say : Never say never. I watched a program the other day and by tweeking only

1 gene in a chicken embryo the researchers where able to manipulate the embryo to begin growing

a tooth lined beak! A few more tweeks and they'd surely have a cold blooded half lizard, half chicken?

I swear I didn't intentionally try to use tweeks and beaks in the same post! /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

Current evolutionary theory says that birds came from dinosaurs anyway, so it's probably more a case of reactivating latent genetic material than really creating new genes.

They could give us back our tails, but I not sure if even monkey would be all that happy with it.

True , what I was getting at though is the fact that a chicken and a lizard of today cannot

produce offspring. However with a few gene reactivations that wouldn't matter and you

would have what would appear to be a Chicken/Lizard! Are you kidding a working tail that

could hold wrenches, change channels or ….well you get the idea! /laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />
