Gosh darn it! I saw the title of this thread and got all excited. I was hoping for a recipe for stuffed Chupacabra to replace the more traditional turkey at Thanksgiving this year.

I watched the Monster Quest, with the Chupacabra.

The woman had all but one of her chickens killed.

She had the Chupacabra stuffed with a chicken in it's mouth. Weird!

It looked the same as this, very dog like. The body only had a few hairs on it.

Mostly bald.

After several days of criss crossing dried up creek beds I did come across a very rare Jagarundi. May or may not have been what he saw. However the Jagarundi is one of the weirdest of the cat family I have ever run across.

I don't think this looks anything like the descriptions of what the chupacabra that was or maybe still be terrorizing farmers in Puerto Rico looks like. There were several sightings mentioned in Scott Corrales book and they were mostly all similar but none resembled a dog or coyote. /unsure.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Dover I grew up hunting the deserts of South Texas and Northern Mexico and I have never seen anything like that!

The only thing I have to compare it to would be a domesticated mutt with a severe case of mange. The wide spread of the molars in the rear of the muzzle might suggest some relation to pit bull, but the muzzle is to long and narrow at the canines.

Maybe a 1/4 ? and a 1/4 ? with a 1/4 pit bull and a 1/4 mutt? Still ,all in all, it is a dog that is pictured. Great pic though. Still the stories from South Texas persist of a creature that when described can take on 100 different descriptions. Some walking upright, some a dog-like creature while others report glowing eyes?
