I got to watch part of an old James Stewart movie from 1950. It's called Harvey and it deals with Stewart's friend who is a six foot tall rabbit that only he sees. It's a good comedy and I hadn't seen it in years. They mentioned in it a couple of times about a pooka. Apparently the pooka is a real mythical creature of Celtic origins. This is an interesting read, at least it was for me.

Yeah I've heard about Phookas. Some associate them with elves saying that they are just a different type of fairy or elf. Also there is a recent childrens book that slightly refrences one… The Spiderwick Chronicles which seems to be a good book.

A six foot rabbit, that would taste awesome……did I type that out loud? It would also ruin the cattle industry.

Pooka Hmmmm…….. I gotta check this out!

I've only seen the movie for the Spiderwick Chronicles and I can't recall a pooka in there. I'd like to see how thick a book would be if it listed every single creature in it.

The rabbit creature in Donnie Darko confused me a little until I heard about the Irish legend.
